Bark in the Park Charlotte, NC contest win :-) We went to the Bark in the Park in Charlotte, NC this past Sat. Always a huge turnout. Trinket won 1st place owner look alike and 3rd place in costume contest and my Chihuahua Gidget won smallest dog and 1st place in Costume contest. Gidget is 2.4 lbs and Trinket is 2.5 lbs she could have won 2nd place but I only entered Gidget. It is funny how much bigger Trinket looks compared to my Chi when they are only an 1 oz different in weight. For the owner look alike I just pulled my hair up and put a matching hello kitty clip in my hair, LOL! Trinket was a fairy princess for the costumes and Gidget was Hawaiian Barbie, that is not lipstick on her though she has a black pattern around her mouth that makes it look like lipstick. I know they do not look amused but costumes were put on right before we went on stage and taken off right after. Here are some photos :-) |

Oh that looks like so much fun!!! Congrats on all the 1st places :). I don't have my fur baby yet but I'm going to have to figure out how to find things like this around me because it looks like so much fun!!! Congrats again :) |
Sounds like fun! I wish I could have gone. We are only 2 hours from there and it would have been a doable trip. Teek loves to travel. I doubt he would have won anything though, but it could have been fun. maybe next year we can take the puppies down there or something. Love the pics, thanks for sharing. I like the look alike contest and honestly I could have entered that one with Teek as I hear all the time that we have matching hair. |
There are usually Bark in the Parks, Bark for Life and Dogtoberfests in most states. Those are 3 of my favorites. You should google for your area. We have so much fun at these events. First time in years I had a Yorkie with me for the events but she seemed to really eat up the attention. She is such a good girl :-) |
