Here is Tilly Ocean, she is supposedly a Yorkie/Maltese mix. I rescued her from Craigslist and saved her from the same fate of her mother - to have litter after litter of puppies for what I can only assume would be for sale on Craigslist or similar. She came to me unbathed and with hard poop stuck to her anus and surrounding hair down to her skin. Took 2 full days of gentle washings to get her fully clean. I was starting to think her little butt was just the color brown :(

Anyways! Here is my baby Tilly. It's hard to get a good picture with her either always running about or sleeping...lol: After her first full bath and during harness practice (She literally just plopped over and went to sleep - and yes she loves my cats toys ;))

:) she is supposedly 9 weeks but ill know better tomorrow when she sees the vet.

I also realized i attached the pics weird. Sorry about that.

Tilly is a total little love and so blessed to have you wind up with her! I'm glad you saved her from a life of constant breeding, being housed and treated like livestock instead of a beloved family member and living out all her days in a cage. With you, it sounds like she will have the luxury of a wonderful, catered-to dog's life free to just be herself with no need to work for her living - always carrying, whelping or caring for litters of puppies year after year and instead, she will be the beloved baby of the family - pampered and knowing nothing but love and care and safety and nothing of the dark side of being a female dog.

Thank you all! We love her to PIECES! She is our baby girl. Even our cat has taken to her - they play like brother and sister already ;)

Thank you for this. I've already gotten a few bad looks when i've told people she is from Craigslist :(. I don't condone puppy mills or anything like that. I have a habit of looking online for "pets for sale or rehoming" just because I like to send those animals good vibes. But when I saw this baby and then heard what the owner was saying about Tilly's mother - I had to take her. We already knew we wanted a puppy, we just weren't sure when to get one or from where. Well, I feel like I saved this sweet girl and it makes me feel good when someone else kind of gives me approval as well. I don't want to be made to feel bad for rescuing an innocent baby when in my heart I know she was born to be part of my family. *small rant over*. Just, thank you.
