Dolly & Teena at work! 2 Attachment(s) Yes, they have a "job". We've been volunteering at an assisted living home for 5 years now & the 3 friends in the photos have known us since our first day visiting the home. (That's me on the floor in the first pic.) When we first started visiting it was just Dolly & me. We then rescued Roxi who came with us for a year before she developed terminal cancer. When I finally announced to everyone she had just a month or so to live, an office worker there told me she had a little pup who she had to keep in the laundry room 16 hours a day while she was gone. She knew it wasn't right, & 16 hours later 2 year old Tila Tequila (Teena!!) was in her new home!!!!! (I've told the story before, but I just couldn't resist retelling it along with these photos. Teena has been such a blessing!) |
That is such a sweet and special story. Your girls are so beautiful and you are very blessed! |
Thank you, yes everyday I feel very fortunate to have the wonderful simple things that I have. |
What a blessing thank you for sharing!! :) |
I enjoyed hearing your story. Your girls are beautiful. It must thrill the hearts of the residents each time you visit. |
AWWW what a great job Dolly and Teena and you as well are doing. I just love the pictures. |
Very heartwarming and thank you for your volunteer work and also thank you to your sweet pack!! |
How totally awesome that you bring your babies into the assisted home. They must love each and every visit! Dogs bring out the best in most of us, especially cute ones like yours! My Bailey comes with me to work sometimes (I work in assisted living and care villages) and the residents, and employees I might add, just love it. It makes their day... and mine when I see all the smiles. :) Even the ones with dementia remember him when I don't bring him and ask where he is. This is amazing to me, as they usually only remember days gone by! Cheers! |
What a beautiful story! Dolly & Teena bring so much joy to all they meet, truly special! |
