Huey appears to be learning nasty habits, but I told him he is much too young! He isn't giving them up easily, though. :D

oh my he;s a smoker now....yikes tell him he may be limited on getting dates for the Valentine's Day being a smoker and all....hehehe.

I think you need to show him what his lungs will look like if he keeps the habit!

Magnus used to eat cig butts when I take him for walk at work. Luckily, what went in did come back out. I wasn't too pleased having to poke at his poo to check but I was definitely relieved when I did find them nasty things. LOL

That would really scare me; nicotene is extremely toxic, but almost all of it is burned off when one smokes. I had this book called "From Chocolate to Morphine" that discusses a wide range of drugs (lent it to a friend months ago and haven't gotten it back, hence the "had"), and I remember it saying something like if one takes a cigar and puts it in water for a night, by morning that water will be toxic enough to kill something like 4 people of average weight.

I called the vet right away and she did tell me how toxic nicotine was... Fortunately(?), the butts he swallowed was only the filter part. And I didn't want to make him throw up b/c he was still a puppy.

He's totally grown out of that stage now and when he see them now, he'll just sniff at it and move on. I get annoyed with some of the things people just toss away on the sidewalks/streets though. He almost swallowed gum and other gross things.

I believe there is nicotine/harmful chemicals in the filter once the cigarette is smoked. I'm glad he outgrew that stage.

I agree that it is maddening the trash people leave on the ground. Max got a hold of a butt once. Thankfully I was able to get out of his mouth right away, and he never showed interest again.

Just admiring your lovely, dust free floors. I wish mine were so spotless. Funnny pup smelling the tobacco in the package. I'm sure it was empty.

Don't you love that when they know they have something they are not supposed to that they go under something where you can't get them? Gizmo's favorite is under our king size bed. I have to get the broom out and use the stick end to slide him out haha.

Thanks! I promise you, they are not usually dust free, especially under that sofa! And yes, the pack WAS empty.:D

Yeah, it is funny that Huey can't seem to fit under that sofa when his toy rolls underneath. He will just look at the toy, look at me, look at the toy, etc, until I crawl my big self around on the floor to retrieve it or move the sofa to get to it! :yelrotflm
He sure can fit under it when he has something he doesn't want to give up, though!
