What a cutie! | Thanks! Like yours, I'm sure, Bailey is quite the character:) Very smart, but he procrastinates at times; like when I call him back on his leash he does return but stops and smells things along the way, as if to say "I'll come, but in my own good time".
A bit of history since we got Bailey: when he was quite young he liked all dogs, then slowly, and being bit on two separate occasions didn't help, he shys away from mostly large dogs, eventhough he was bit from medium sized dogs:( I currently do try to introduce him to the big dogs all the same, as he is usually starts by wagging his tail. His tail stops wagging as we get closer and the 'Kujo' in him comes out. I'm sure he could do some damage to a nose or something. By this time I usually have him in my arms already and back away. Over time I hope to make him comfortable in this situation. How is yours around other dogs; large and small? |
