Drinking too much water & peeing while asleep My almost 3 month old yorkie, Beauty, came to us younger than she should have. I got her from a 'breeder' that wasn't the best so I decided to rescue her. She has adapted well but here are my concerns. She drinks water like it's the last time she's ever going to get it. So she then balloons up to where you can tell she's uncomfortable. Is this normal? She's been checked by the vet and all tests were back normal. Also, she seems to pee at night while she's asleep. We've limited her intake of water at night but it worries me. We've tried waking her up every 2 hours in the night to go 'potty' which it works but I can tell its hard on her because she's so little and wants to sleep. |
Hi, I was cruising some old posts and came across this one. Well...I can't give you any advice but I will bump this so others get a second chance to see it. Good luck!! I'm sure you will get some advice!! |
Was a urinalysis done to rule out diabetes? Sometimes puppies will drink a lot of water, just bc they can or out of boredom...hope she'll grow out of it if that's the case. I would remove the water bowl @ night. You can also try water bottles, they can't drink their fill very fast... |
Welcome to YT! Bumping this so others see it. If you don't get many posts, try to make a new thread in the sick & injured section. |
