Well if you ever wanted to know what your yorkie looks like under all his/her hair just take a look. ;)

Bentley got his summer cut on Saturday. I had no clue that his legs were as long as their were. :eek:

You can't see it in the picture but looking at him from just his behind he looks like a minpin. lol

He's so cute and his fur feels so silky because it's cut so short. I'm afraid I'm going to pet him bald ;) And all the silver that is showing on his back. It will be interesting to see his coat start to grow back in when I stop having him shaved in the fall.

Aww, Anne, he looks fabulous! They do look funny with the long legs, don't they? I couldn't get Sam cut that short. He's so skinny they would accuse me of starving him.

I should take an areal shot of him. I was totally shocked show skinny he is. :eek:

Yep he's ready for summer, but summer is not. Has been in the 70's and 80's since about mid April. Now that Bentley is shaved, is rainy and in the 50's lol. Sounds like he has the curse my mom's lhasa had when I was a kid. Every time she shaved him for the summer it got very cold. lol

I love the shaved look. When my little guy gets older (he's only 9 weeks old) I plan on shaving him in the summer also. But your little guy is adorable. :)

OM Gosh he looks like Kudos!! I cant wait till I get Kudos his summer haircut......He gets shaved, except a little on his head to give him a moe hawk!! He is going to look so cute!!

He is so cute. I love the ears, one up and one down. My Tiki is the same.

I shave my girls bodies, but leave longer hair on the legs. They sure do feel soft, like velvet, don't they?

Do you take him to a groomer, or do you trim him yourself? I plan to keep my pup's hair pretty short (puppy cut), especially in the warm weather, and I am wondering how difficult it is to do a decent trim job myself, even if only between regular groomings.

I take him to a groomer. He's too wiggley lol. I shave his ears between visits and his bum too, because he seems to be prone to dingleberries. :eek: He was horrible to just do that for. But I did notice he was fine after his first visit, much calmer and did not put up much fuss. Personally I think I would if I wanted to groom on my own, take a dog several times to a professional so they are used to things, before I started to do it on my own.

There is a wonderful groomer in town that grooms and boards small dogs only and she's a yorkie owner too. This was just his second visit, he last went in March. It was wonderful to walk in the door and have her call him immediately by name. She loves what she does and loves her clients.
