update/ this hair ok? 1 Attachment(s) this is an update on Lili! the breeder sent me her pic. she was born on the 2nd of February. is this hair lenght normal or should she be furrier by now? .. think she looks cute, just wondering about the hair ... |
I must add, I love her so much already! I dont really care about the hair! just want her with me now! the waiting is tough :) |
She looks adorable. What is her name? I think her hair length looks good. I know the waiting is so hard ;). I pasted the time waiting for Sophie by shopping and buying her everything under the sun  Somehow it helped me feel closer to her :) |
I dont know about the hair but she is cute as a button!!! Congrats! I know the wait is killing you, but she will be such a better socialized pup if she stays with mom the full 12 weeks.:D:D |

she is coming on the 20th of April, so about 11 weeks or so, I hope she'll be affectionate with us:) |

Ohh same here!! lol doing so much shopping hehe It does makes me feel closer to her too. Her name is Lili :animal-pa |
1 Attachment(s) I am only asking about the hair, because my cousin was scammed not long ago. they sold her a dog that wasnt a yorkie in the end. but she loves him anyway ...so yeah! I have seen Lili's parents on pictures and they look adorable, so it should be okay. |
My daughter just brought home an eight week old puppy and it's doing marvelously! Now, I'm not recommending this. I also believe that it protects the new owner, just as much as it does the puppy, to wait until at least 12 weeks, but the hubs knows the breeder so my daughter got a special pass. ;) I'll post a photo of her new baby if I can so you can see its coat! She will probably max out at about 4lbs. based on the parents and past breedings. https://sphotos-a.xx.fbcdn.net/hphot...19240557_n.jpg |
thank you EvaNoel. Your daughter's yorkie is so beautiful and furty. Lili's coat concerns me but i guess it'll grow in time. Ill post a pic of her mum so that u can judge |
She is young, yet and her hair will get longer as she gets older. She is only around 6 weeks and it just hasn't gotten long enough to be "fluffy"! She looks to be really sweet....Congrats! |
She is a beautiful baby and will fluff out as she grows! I know you're excited to bring her home, and we'll be watching for photos! :) |
1 Attachment(s) I'm gonna post a pict of Princess Sophie at almost the same age. Maybe this will help. This pict may be a week or two older than your pup. I think yours is absolutely adorable!!! |
Her hair growth looks normal for a pup her age, it will grow as she does you have nothing to worry about :) |
Oh my! Your pup is right on track, if you ask me. What a cutie pie! I don't think it will hurt your pup to come to you at 11 weeks instead of 12 weeks, but if you have the option, why not wait one more week? Those last 4 weeks of the 12 weeks aid the puppy in socialization skills such as biting. Also, it just gives it that much more time to get stronger and healthier by being with the mother. |
thank you all for the lovely responses. Haven't had time to answer each one individually. But thank you! Ldyrev1 your princess looks so beautiful in that pic! And MandiesMom, I know, I would have liked to wait one more week but it's my dad's birthday and she'll be his present. I am married but I live near their house so I will be enjoying her a lot :) we thought it wasn't a good idea to keep her in our house because we both work long hours. Plus at my parents she'll be very loved and spoiled. I just can't wait. thank you all for reassuring me about her hair! |
We are gettin our little parti yorkie 1 day before he turns 8 weeks old. He's the cutest! Waiting seems like it's taking forever! |
She definitely looks normal. She's adorable! I'm glad you are able to wait until 11 weeks. It really is important that puppies get the socialization from their momma that they need... Their moms teach them bite inhibition and so much more during that time. Congrats! |

would be cool if she could teach potty training lol |

Alita, I didnt know better and brought my Huey home at 7 1/2 weeks  We both survived and he is a great, healthy dog, but I think that many of his issues like his skittishness might not have been so bad if he had been a little better socialized before I brought him home. I didn't know enough about yorkies to even be concerned about things like hypoglycemia that I have since learned. I am very lucky he didn't have any problems  You are very lucky to have found YT before bringing your new baby home. There are many knowledgeable people on this site and everyone is absolutely passionate about yorkies! I hope you stick around a long time and learn lots and share your experiences with us, too. |
