Before and after of Louise, my rescue. Louise before, when I first sa her at the shelter (sorry, it is only a headshot): http://i260.photobucket.com/albums/i...m/100_2255.jpg After a little clean up, snuggled in her bed: http://i260.photobucket.com/albums/i...m/100_2247.jpg And after her session at the groomers: http://i260.photobucket.com/albums/i...m/100_2255.jpg |
AWWWW Louise is just so cute. Bless you for adopting her. |
Aww Louise is adorable. The picture of her at the shelter didn't show up, it's the same as the last one. |

Amazing what a little love and care will do. I love that shot of her in her bed! Thank you again for rescuing sweet Louise. (I'm very partial to that name...it's a family name on my Mom's side) |
Beautiful baby! |
Louise is a pretty sweetie pie! She is very lucky to have found you. Congratulations on the new addition to your life! :) |
Thanks for posting the before picture. You can see how happy she is all cleaned up and being loved! Thanks for giving her the loving home she deserves. |
Louise is beautiful!:D |
looks like she won the parent lottery!!! shes most adorable all cleaned up and snuggled in her bed. |
Looks like Louise went from Cinderella to a real live Princess! She looks great and I'm sure she loves her new home and owner!! Good job! |
Why can't I get lucky like that? |
My mom's name was Louise. Her name popped into my head when I saw Louise at the shelter. The adoption was finalized on my Mom's birthday. I feel that Louise is a gift to me, and I will treat her as such. She is always so happy to see me, whether she just woke up from a short nap or I just came home from work. To her, everything concerning me is a wonderful and happy time, worthy of celebration and kisses. When I look into her eyes, there is something there that is more than dog. Something wise, understanding and loving. She is an answer to prayer, a piece of me that I did not know was missing. |
She's sooo cute...I love the name! |
Congrats. Hello and welcome to YT. She is just a cutie |
Aww... What a sweet girl! You are both so lucky to have found each other! :heart to |
What a beautiful girl :) Thank you for rescuing her. |
Aww, what a sweetheart and what an improvement! Congratulations. :D |
Excellent rescue job! BRILLIANT!:D |
Thank you all for all the kind comments! Louise had her vet check yesterday, and aside from a slight ear infection (now being treated), she got a clean bill of health! Shot were given (she did NOT like that and sulked the rest of the day) and an appointment for boosters and a teeth cleaning was made. We can't schedule her spay appointment until I am sure she is not pregnant. The doctor and his assistant fell totally in love with Louise. But seriously, who could look into her eyes and NOT fall in love? |
Congrats...Louise is just darling! The change with you love & care is beautiful!:) |
Very cute |
Thank you, Perrella and LILBIT. (just a note..... I know that unplanned breeding/litters are frowned upon, and I am seriously hoping that Louise is not pregnant, for her own good. But my vet cautioned me to wait to spay due to the stress. Louise was dumped at the shelter, left cold and alone among loud unnown dogs and brought to a new home with two strange humans, two cats and another dog (who just happens to love her). He was concerned that a spay surgery this soon could be too much for her. We are all hoping that, although she was at the end of her heat cycle when she was left at the shelter, she is not pregnant. If she is, and if the puppies appear to be too big for her to deliver safely, we will do what we need to do to protect her. But ONLY if it is necessary.) |
