Joels first Buddy Belt!

I ordered it from Kristin(Maximo) and I love it! I think red looks so good on him. He's not too thrilled about it but who cares I've been waiting forever, haha.
He kept turning his head to let me know he wasn't happy but he'll get used to it lots of treats later:) Also he opened the box all by himself, it took him about 15 min. to actualy get it out, hehe
The last pic is him sleeping in it now:thumbup:

That looks so good on him!! I'm so so so jealous! I have been wanting a buddy belt forever!! It's going to happen but I'm just dying to get one.

Does Joel walk fine in it?

Love the red! It looks great on Joel :) Toki likes to nap in her Buddy Belt too...they really are so light and comfortable!

When I first put it on him he walked a little slower, but he got used to it quickly. He doesn't even notice it when were on a walk,lol

For me, what I like about it other than they look more spiffy lol they are easier to put on and I like the leather look and also he would always chew the harness straps but he can't reach it on the buddy belt:) and they come in lots of cool colors!

Max did the same thing, walked slower and stayed right by side. In his case, I think he was worried that he wasn't "hooked up" to me securely enough, lol, because it felt different than his vest harness.

Aww...Joel looks so handsome in the red. I think you made an excellent choice, it stands out nicely with his coloring. ;)
I love the design and the fit of the Buddy Belt. Yazmin used to cough and choke in every harness she ever wore before I got her first one. Now she has seven in an array of beautiful colors. :D

He looks so handsome. I picked up some leather softener and I soften all of Buster's Buddy belts as they can be quite stiff in the beginning but I love them.

I should get that and i'm also thinking of some kind of water proof stuff

Red is one of the stiffer BB colors and takes a little longer to break in, mold to the body. You can work the harness with your hands to soften it up, gently stretching and rolling it.

If you use a leather protector product, make sure it is high quality and avoid anything with silicone. I have never put anything on my boys' BBs, but Buddy Belt does officially recommend it.

The main thing is not to fully immerse the BB in water. If the harness does get wet, lay it flat to dry, away from full sun and heat (which can shrink leather). In other words, don't put it in dryer, or lay on a radiator, or put it in the back window of a car.

I ordered mine from YT member Maximo, and told her Joels measurements and she helped pick the size:D
