New Baby still with Mom 1 Attachment(s) Hi to you all.. this is my new baby ( I believe), which I will take home March 26th. We are still thinking about the right name-- but will wait till we actually meet.. Have everything except the new furry kid! Just in time for Easter.. as in Easter puppy! |
Soo So cute. I bet you can't wait til March 26th. Congrats on the new arrival. |
congrats! the puppy is a cutie |
What a sweetheart!! March 26 will be here before you know it! Looking forward to hearing all about her/him!! ;) |
Forgot to mention.. My baby is a boy.. he will be 13 weeks when we get him. He is coming from a very good show home, and I am hoping those ears will stay up! Now I am reading all about the best foods, and coat shampoo etc etc. Lots to learn, but oh what fun..My husband had 5 yorkies at one time, and had a real blast taking them to his store everyday! Thenew boy will join two golden retrievers! It will be a gradual and careful introduction, to make sure everything goes ok..He is about 2.1 lbs-- which I think will make him a nice adult weight--not too big or small. What I have learned so far is that its hard to find a good yorkie family to adopt from..its been many months and visits to many places to get to this point. No pet stores for me, though--that much I do know..Can't wait!! |
Your baby is such a cutie. Congrats. I bet you can 't wait until the 26. :aimeeyork |
New baby Actually.. I am also a little aprehensive! Afraid I might do something wrong.. or have him get sick on the way home.. a long drive for both of us! |
I am going to drive to 4 hours to get my puppy. How long do you have to drive? |

I am also driving about 4-4.5 hours.. I have never been to this part of AZ. |
Glad you said that.. of course, the puppy may get car sick..will have to be prepared.. |
I am picking up my new puppy (6 hour drive) but, breeder is at least meeting me half way, so it won't be too bad of a drive. I am actually sending an old towel down to the breeder so the puppy will recognize my scent!~ I actually slept with a hand towel in my bed, for the past week, I'll be mailing it out tomorrow, may sound weird, but, I didn't want to send any of my clothes etc. Maybe you too could send a towel with your goldens scent on it, and maybe one with your scent on it to the breeder so the dog can sniff it, and become familiar with it. What might help ease the transition, is see if your breeder can send a blanket your puppy has been using so you can show it to your goldens, and that might make a nicer home coming. Also, when you bring puppy home, may want to consider him/her meeting the new dogs outside, so that way if the pup is scared, any accidents will happen in the yard and not in the house. I thought of the blanket idea, the same concept as what people suggest when you bring a newborn baby home from the hospital, you have the dog or cat smell the baby blanket, so that way the dog or cat is familar with the new baby scent. Good luck. And I'm in the same boat, can't wait to pick up my Coco. I'll post a pic, when I do. |
What a sweetheart, CONGRATS |
