God gave me a gift... 2 Attachment(s) ...and her name is Lucy. One year and 9 months ago, this sweet, old, sick, and abandoned girl came to live in my heart and home. She isn't doing very well, and sleeps almost all the time now. Wednesday she had a good day. I was able to bathe and trim her. Later, after a nap, I dressed her up for some Christmas pictures. These may well be her last. What a gift it was that we had a nice afternoon together, and to have had the pictures turn out nicely . I think Lucy really liked the brushing, primping, and attention. You see, you're never too old to be a Diva. Merry Christmas from Lucy! Hug and cherish those babies. Every day is a gift. :xmascand: |
Beautiful. Love the pictures and glad she had a good day. Sending prayers she has many more |
merry christmas lucy...you look beautiful!! may you enjoy a many more sunny days and diva trims!! <3 |
Merry Christmas lovely Lucy.. hugs, |
Merry Christmas Lucy...my Christmas wish for you, is lots more good days. What a beautiful lady you are :) |
Oh, Kim, Lucy is beautiful and usual, to me, looks like a puppy. She has such a darling little face - who could deny her anything? She's precious. I know how sad it is when they start to act old and show their age and somehow you look at that little face and the two concepts - your sweet little dog and old age don't gel. They don't ever seem to mix. You always think of your dog as a toddler and here they are moving slow, standing in one position as if they don't know what to do, sleeping a lot, turning up their nose at their favorite food. It just doesn't seem possible that a dog can age and grow senile and it hurts when that starts happening and you can tell almost all their best days are left behind. Hopefully, Lucy will be one of those old lady dogs who finds a second wind a few more times and she is with your family for a good long while to come. I'm so glad you have the time and inclination to notice that this is happening and take the moments to appreciate these special days in her long life. Keep holding her closely and enjoy her - she is quite a special little lady. Merry Christmas, Lucy, from Tibbe and Jeanie. |
She's beautiful. Bless her heart... |
Every day truly is a gift! Lucy you are beautiful!! ♥ and much loved and blessed. Thanks for sharing her beautiful pictures!! |
Tears are rolling down my face as I write this. Lucy is just adorable. You are so blessed to have her and her love. We Yorkie lovers are special people because we see beyond this ugly world into the beauty of it. Your dog is one of God's precious creations and we can see the love in her eyes. You are wise to have her! I wish dogs lived longer, they are truly friends. |
What a wonderfully beautiful gift He gave you, too. Merry Christmas, Kim and Lucy! |

Lovely story. Melts my heart. :) |
What a PRECIOUS Girl she is!!!! You are both so fortunate to have found each other.... :) |
Thank you Lucy for bringing your special mom to YorkieTalk and to Kim for being such a godsend to your sweet little girl. You both are a gift to each other. Lucy is such a beautiful, precious little girl. I know from loving Ashley so much how challenging it could be with a senior baby, yet each day was truly a gift and each moment was truly special. I didn't think it was possible, but I grew to love her even more during this time of her life. I wish you countless magic moments, not only with Lucy, but all of your babies and family. These photos really made me smile. |
