Meet Karli Sue! 4 Attachment(s) We picked our new puppy up yesterday morning. She'll be eleven weeks old on Tuesday and we've decided to name her Karli Sue. Her "big" sister, Chloe, is not all that pleased with her yet but I'm hoping things will get better with time. I'm pretty sure Karli is going to have a cotton coat. Chloe has a silky coat, so this will be a whole new experience for me. I've always sort of wanted one of each, but I'm also nervous because I've read that cotton coats are more difficult to care for. We'll see! Here are a couple of pictures! I wish I could show off her feet better. She's got the paws of a German Shepherd! They are very broad and thick, like adorable little bear cub paws! :) She weighed 34 ounces at 8 weeks which (supposedly) charts her to be a little over 6 pounds fully grown, but if she grows into her feet, I might get to be a member of the teapot club! -C |
Your baby girl looks adorable. She has a very pretty name as well. Congratulations on her. Keep posting her progress pics for us to see. I am getting my new little girl next week. She will be 8wks old and I have called her Hollie Chelsea. She is adorable. I have some lovely photo's of her from the breeder which I will post when I know how? Do you have a playpen for Karlie? I am worried about mine getting lost in the house and also when we are not here and she has to stay at home. But am reluctant to pay such a lot for a playpen that wont be used that long as they grow quickly and learn. Would love to know how you are managing. Ave x |
Oh How cute is she! Congratulations!:D |
What a cutie! Congratulations :D Cotton coats take a lot more brushing... My female has a cotton coat and I keep her shorter so that she doesn't tangle. |

I also really like this pen: Amazon.com: Pet Gear Home 'N Go Pet Pen for cats... although it is more expensive. I was lucky enough to find one used, so I didn't have to pay as much. It is taller but not as big around and is very sturdy. A much less expensive version is this one: Amazon.com: Zebra Pet Tent Exercise Pen Playpen... which I use for our 3 year old now. I'm not sure about using it for a puppy because I think a chewing puppy would eventually be able to tear a hole through it. But once they are past the chewing stage, it works great and is super easy to transport. Also, for me, I don't mind paying a little more for a good pen because I continue to use them even after the puppy is an adult. I feel more comfortable if I leave my Yorkies confined while I'm gone. I'm just a worry wart and don't entirely trust that they won't get into trouble or hurt themselves! :) -C |
3 Attachment(s) Couple more pictures! The first one is the closest Chloe has allowed Karli to get for any length of time, no matter how hard Karli has tried to play! The other two are of Karli's sleeping positions...talk about flexible. :) |
Karli looks like a little Teddy Bear! Too cute - congratulations! |
