My new puppy (8 weeks old) not sure of the name yet Well it took about a year to get him- but I'm so glad he's here. Thank you Yorkietalk members for all of your help and support. Potty training, finding a harness to fit his 1.7 pound frame, and finding the right brush (furmanator, madan, cc?) are on the list of things to do. As well as finding a chew toy that is the width of my fingers. (cuz he certainly likes chewing on those) LOL! Thank you all GERRY PS I'd love to meet other local Yorietalk people.. |
whoops I don't think it uploaded the picture. Trying again. If not, then look at the one on my profile. Thanks, GERRY |

Welcome. So cute! |
Congratulations on your yorkie, i had the same problem finding sonic a collar, and harness, I bought the smallest petsmart had he just had to grow into them. They have toys for little bitty puppies, just gotta look for them.. :) |
No to furminator brushes. Unless they've added another style, those are designed to pull the undercoat off double-coated dogs. Yorkies have single coats. |
Hi and welcome to YT and congrats on your little one. If you looking for madan products, yt member mimimomo, Jenny has them. She's great to deal with and has great customer service. |
Big Congrats on your new baby! Even though it took a year to get him, I'm sure it was well worth the wait:) Can't wait to see pictures of that little tike. |
congrats on your new puppy. |
Cute! Congrats! Welcome to YT! |
Welcome to YT to you and your cute baby :) |
First off, congratulations on your new baby. Next, it doesn't surprise me anymore that no one is mentioning that 8 weeks is 4 weeks too soon to be away from the mother because it seems to be happening more and more often lately. There are two just this week. I do wish you luck with one that young. Just make sure you have Nutri-Cal on hand and also feed this baby cooked red meat with ground veggies, and feed him every three hours for about a month then every four hours for another month. They eat tiny meals at a time and need to eat often. |
Hi Gerry, Welcome to YT! I use children's soft toothbrushes, or the ones you slip in your finger w/doggy toothpaste. Starting on them young is a good idea so they get used to it. TY Bo for recommending me!❤ |
