Guessing??? 1 Attachment(s) Can anyone, judging by the photos attached, give me an idea of Bubba's future color/appearance, possibly? I see so many different pictures on here, everyone is so different, cuties all around, silky, cottony, just so many variations  Opinions, guesses, all welcome, I'm just curious, I'll love him even if he never changes :D Attachment 359762 |
I think he'll be completely silver, maybe with some very light tan markings. |
I see a lot of the silver too. :) Personally, I love the silver. My Rosie has a lot of silver in her hair. I think he is going to be gorgeous! |
I just goggled silver/tan yorkshire terrier, wow, Bubba's mom was that light colored, the breeder said due to hormone changes she had lightened quite a bit more. His dad is more traditional colored, I suppose it's called tan/blue. I can't wait to see! I'm a weirdo:D |

2 Attachment(s) I don't know if you can tell in this picture or not what Rosie looked like as a pup. It was a long time ago and from my cell phone. I am attaching one of what she looks like now as well. :) Her face had a lot of the silver in it as well. But now it has more tan. But her body has a lot of silver where it had more black as a pup. Your furbaby reminds me a lot of what she looked like. :) Maybe even a little more silver in him. Attachment 359765 Attachment 359768 |

4 Attachment(s) Joey looked like that as a puppy, and it's not unusual for a silk coat to have a silvery undertone. The top of his head went completely silver and around 11 months he turned beige almost overnight and then gradually the beige became golden. The saddle had black but it looked like silvery roots that turned into what breeders call dark blue, it like a metallic black or gunmetal. He has no silver on him at 5 years. 5 or 6 months Attachment 359766 11 months Attachment 359767 around 2 years Attachment 359769 Attachment 359764 Joey as adult I think your baby will have an even darker gold around the face and be really beautiful. |

The breeder had told me, some of the more scraggly looking pups (sparse hair/oily appearance), have the silkier coats but nothing can be guaranteed. I can imagine the more experienced show breeders know exactly what to look for and at what point i.e., 12 weeks, 16 weeks. Thanks, Joey is a stud  |
It was nice to see a 15 year old!! I hope Molly lives that long. She will be 2 on Jan. 20. |
2 Attachment(s) Bubba is so cute and reminds me of Jack when he was younger. I see a tan to light golden brown head and legs and silver, lots of silver on the body. I have attached pictures of Jack from when he was a pup - probably 16 -20 weeks and just a few weeks ago (he will be 3 in May). Either way, Bubba is adorable! |

By the way, my little stud did go through an awkward period. :D |

P.S. Neither Joey's breeder nor I abused him, although sometimes he abuses me! |
