| LuvMyFurkidz | 12-12-2011 12:30 PM | You all are making me beam with pride. I am lucky to have these little characters in my life. You may have noticed the female Shih Tzu has one eye. She is a rescue & came to us in just awful shape & very ill with her eye just being enucleated. We thought we might lose her the first week. :( With the help of our vet though, we nursed her back to health & she is doing well despite having some health issues. We got her at 3 years of age & she is now 10 & she was never expected to live. Keegan, our 12 y/o Shih Tzu has terrible allergies & gets ear infections often. He has been tested & we feed within his allergy-free foods but he has such a rough time with environmental allergies. He is also high anxiety so is on medication for that as well. So far, Lexi seems healthy but we know that can change at a moments notice. We just pray it doesn't. If it does, we will deal with it, just like any of us would with our kids. :) They truly remind us of our blessings, especially at this time of the year.
Thank you everyone. |
