Mama did what to my hair?!? 3 Attachment(s) I had an appt for Pita to get groomed on saturday but I chickened out. I don't like to leave her anywhere esp with a stranger where I can't see her...I know, I know, I am such a wuz! Soooo, I decided to 'groom' her myself. It's a work in progress but she was as patient as she could be. I didn't get to her ears and I have some touching up to do, but here she is practically bald and PROUD :D |
Awww :). I think she looks beautiful. You did a great job! |
I think you did a wonderful job! She looks fantastic! Great first grooming job! I stopped taking mine to a groomer over ten years ago after two groomer mishaps - one resulting in my Cricket getting a fungal infection in her ear from groomer according to my vet. I really like grooming myself. They do learn to sit still and let mommy groom. I always give them a little treat afterwards. |
Well done. You have a career ahead of you. |
Pita looks adorable. You did a really good job on her cut!! I haven't taken mine to a groomer in over a year. I love doing it myself:) |
What a pretty girl :) |
Hey I think you did a great job. I would try to cut Ben but I don't think I am as talented as you are. :animal36 Teresa and Ben :animal-pa:animal-pa:animal-pa |
you did a great job/ maybe you should be a groomer |
Thanks all, you are too kind!! She looks teeny without all of that crazy cottony hair. I like it shorter much more than I thought I would. I was going for the short back, longer leg and face look, lol! (schnauzer cut, I guess) |
Pita is such a cutie! I think you did a great job Mom! |
You did a great job! I don't blame you for not wanting to leave her someplace, too many horror stories. I can't believe how many places use automatic type of hair dryers and just let the dogs sit in a grate while a dryer blasts them. I want Joey to think of grooming like a spa day not a trip to the dentist. Have you learned to do the nails yet? I did it for a while, but I hurt him once, and I haven't been able to do it again. Joey's breeder told me to hold the nail firmly when I'm clipping, because the wiggling of the nail is what causes the pain and to just take tiny bits at a time, but I still hurt him. So now I go to her and in between the vet does it. I feel so stupid that I can't do this |
You did a very good job! I can't even get a bow in Holly's hair myself! |
i agree with everyone else, you did a really good job. i wish i could groom rocco myself but i am afraid i will hurt him.. |
You did a great job! I groom both Couver and Khloe and have gotten better with each grooming. Pita looks adorable with short hair :) |
awww so cute! |
Great job! I am also afraid to leave Ahi where I can't see and watch her. I love her coloring. :) |

You guys are too sweet!!!! I worked on her a little more tonight and her face looks really good! I will post some pics of her under the Christmas tree tomorrow. It's amazing how relieved I feel now that I don't have to bring her to the groomers....eek! |
You did a great job on Pita. Each time you do it it will get better. And anyway - the hair will grow. I will not leave Deuce either so I do the grooming except for the nails, but I'm slowly getting up the nerve to do it. I would recommend that you get some good blending shears. They can cover up mistakes and makes the hair look less choppy. My last haircut on Deuce was a bit aggressive (he was going to have surgery) but in a month he will look fine. I find doing the grooming relaxing and he likes it too. Good luck - relax - and enjoy!!!! |
Pita is so cute!! You did a great job:) |
She looks great! (Although I think she'd look adorable in any cut!) |
Pita looks adorable. Great job mom! |
Pita's always a stunner! She's got such a beautiful coat. I think you did a lovely job, and though I don't know anything about grooming except it's hard work, practice does make perfect, so your skills will just get better and better with time! :-D |
