First Day of Puppy Kindergarten

Katie Scarlett and I went to her very first puppy kindergarten training class tonight. We had a great time! She did really good. She was a bit timid the whole class. She didn't really play with the other dogs. I hope she will warm up more next week. We were in there with 7 other doggies and there Mommy's. There were 2 black labs, 1 golden retriever, a jack russel, a mastif (spelling??), a cockapoo (I am guessing that is a cocker spaniel and a poodle?), and another mix that I cannot remember. We met some really nice people and had a good time. She did pretty well with her first training. We have homework to do. But anyways, I snapped a pic on the way out the door and thought I'd share.

With a beautiful face like that I'm sure she will make many friends over the weeks ahead. Some of those dogs you named are big dogs. She is so itty bitty.

Aww..... Katie Scarlett is sooo cute!!! I am sure by a few classes she will warm up to the other pupsters.

Awwwwwww she's so beautiful!!!!!!! Don't worry classes will go wonderfully as you're doing the best thing for her....to socialize her :D So glad I did with Bambi too. She had her first small dog meet up today and loved everyone. The more you get them out at a young age the better :D I just love this little girl so much she's got such a beautiful face!!!!! Congrats again on her

Thanks guys! She is doing great! We are so proud of her! She does 'look' and 'sit' almost perfect! Still need a little work on the sit, but she'll have it down in no time. We need more work on the 'come' command, but I know she will get it. I love this training! It's so fun!!!

She went to doggy daycare for a few hours on Friday and they said she did pretty good. She kept to herself observing most of the day but right before I came in she had started to play with another puppy. So I think we will do daycare a bit more to help socialize her. There are no dogs in our neighborhood, so she doesn't see much besides cats on our walks and she ignores them. LOL. I am going to see about signing her up at a local doggy park that just opened. To go you have to give a small donation and show proof of vaccinations. I want to socialize her as best I can.

AND she is doing so much better with the top knot! I think she likes the bands much better than the clips. She will sit still and let me do a band as where she fusses with the clips. Yay! :)
