Is mojo a yorkie? Need opinions... 1 Attachment(s) I'm new to the community, but adopted Mojo who I think is a yorkie. He is around 1 year, is 8 1/2 lbs and 11 inches tall. Not sure what his coat is as I know nothing about yorks! Any help from you fine people would be great. Thanks for any input. :) |
Mojo is ADORABLE! I just love the expression on this picture. He definitely has Yorkie markings and build, but his coat and ears are different from most of the ones I've seen. How long have you had him? Have you had him groomed yet? If his hair has been cut recently, as it grows out it might change, but if this is as long as it gets then he's probably a mix. |
What an adorable fella' ! I love those deep dark eyes and the expression on his face. What ever he is he's yours, love him and care for him and enjoy him. I have been around Yorkies for more than 30 years. I would be happy to give an opinion but it is hard to do with just one photo. |
Oh my goodness...Mojo is just darling! Perhaps yorkie with flappy ears or maybe a silky. There are bigger yorkies on here, I'm sure someone knowledgeable will pop in too. I have a black cotton coated girl...so obviously, I'm no expert;) Mojo sure is a cutie pie!:) |

Thanks everyone! I will try to get more pics. I've only had him a little over a week now, but the vet thinks he is around 1 year old. He appears for the most part yorkie to me, but I'm not real familiar with the breed. I trimed 1 ear to see if it would rise a bit as I read somewhere that the hair can weigh them down like this and I think you can tell in the pic which one I trimmed as it did rise a bit. I only trimmed a very small amount, so may try trimming more to see how far it will rise up. Reading also told me that if not kept trimmed or taped early, the ears would droop like this. I also removed quite a bit of hair on the inside of his ears. It was slap full! It was easy getting it out by hand and he never even made out like it bothered him at all,lol. I don't really care if he's pure bred YT as there are so many mixes that are in demand these days, just didn't want to be telling folks he was something he wasn't,hahaha. He's a great little fellow. Can't you picture a red bandana around his neck? :) |

Very cute dog. :D Not too sure if he is purebred or a mix. He kind of looks like a Snorkie. That would be a Yorkie/Schnauzer mix. I'm no expert though. |
He is adorable, whatever his breed. Maybe a little border terrier in there? If you really want to know, there are DNA tests available now. I would love to have done a test on my last dog, Bungee, just to know what her ancestors were. Would have made a bit of difference in how much I loved her, but would have satisfied my curiosity. |
I would definitely say he's not purebred, but it looks like he might be part yorkie :) He's a cutie though! |
