after a dental? Toby is just now opening his eyes all the way and he's been home since about 6 p.m. and his dental was done at 1 p.m. Most of the evening he's been squinting. He's still cute regardless of how "dopey" he looks. Excuse his appearance.............he is going to the groomer on Tuesday.

Picture was taken with the iPhone and it doesn't take the greatest pictures in the world so sorry for the quality.

Aww, he looked wiped out after a long day. I agree with Cathy, he just needs a good night's rest. Such a handsome boy. I'm glad he is enjoying his Cloud Nine bed.

Lol poor Toby looks wiped out! Do they use anestheia for a dental? He just needs a god nights sleep!

Yes, they do use anesthesia.................vet said he'll be fine tomorrow. He just looks so goofy! Poor little guy. He was NOT happy with me when I picked him up. He wouldn't even look at me.

I've seen that "look" on a few patrons at "Last Call." Haha. Hope he feels better today

Max was the same way when he went under for his eyelid. He wouldn't look at me, and didn't seem to know me when I picked him up. I think it was just that he was groggy, like Toby looks. :) He will wake up tomorrow bright eyed.

He was given a little too much. Generally when they are put under, they wake up pretty alert. Having him eat is a good way to help get that medicine out of him.

Toby is back to his old self again. He slept all through the night and was really a snuggle butt last night. I LOVED IT!!! Now back to reality and him letting us know he's still the alpha dog. Thank you everyone for asking. Hubby said we need to keep some of that 'drug' around when we want him quiet . LOL. She may have given him a little more anesthetic since he absolutely HATES being crated. That way he slept until I got there.

What I was really impressed with was the vets office called this morning to make sure he was still eating and back to his old self again.

And his pearly whites are definitely white and shiny. And no more bad breath!!!!!

My brat girls come home mad...they have been fasting and are starved...head for the kitchen and want dinner asap...then they inspect the house to see if anything new happened while they were forced to go to the doggie dentist....
