Mrs. Beasley's Quilt 3 Attachment(s) This week I was preparing a lesson about the Great Depression. I have this quilt that is circa 1929-1930. After laying it out to take to school to share with my students, Mrs. Beasley jumped on it and looked at me as if she was saying "Momma got me a new blankie" I just couldn't resist the chance to take a picture. |
How precious!! That is a beautiful quilt too...don't make them like that anymore. |

Thank you. The quilt is called "Grandmother's Flower Garden" It was popular during the 1920s to 1940's. This kind is rarely made anymore because of the labor involved. It was made without "blocks" Between the flowers are double rows of hexagon shapes. |
What a beautiful girl :) |
Awww, Ms Beasley looks right at home in her new blankie. :D Very pretty quilt...I've just started quilting. |
Aw...that is so sweet, such a sweetheart :). Beautiful quilt too. |
That is such a beautiful quilt. My mom quilts so I can know how much work goes into something that detailed. BTW Mrs. Beasley is adorable and I love her name. Is she named after Mrs. Beasley from Family Affair? She was my favorite doll growing up and I still have her:) |
Mrs. Beasley is so darling and that quilt is beautiful! Wow! |
What a beautiful quilt...and Mrs. Beasley is adorable sitting on it :) |
