A couple people requested pictures of Thor dressed up in his full V-Day tux, so I've taken some rejects from his V-Day ball shoot that show off his duds. :)

The top hat wasn't that well made, so the shape isn't right for the opera. More of an Amish / Old West vibe.

... and then for today, I tried some pet safe dye for the first time. I ran into all kinds of logistical problems I hadn't anticipated. For instance, what do you do with a dog while he's standing on a paint-safe mat for thirty minutes, waiting for everything to dry?

As you can see, it's just a bit around the ears and paws. The dye was very dark red when I started, and for a while he looked he could star in a canine remake of Carrie. It ended up really cute IRL, though. I'm not sure I did him justice with these pictures.

Ha ha, that makes one of you. You can see how angry the hat made him in the first picture. And you can see crumbs on his muzzle from all the treats I had to bribe him with to stop shaking it off.

lol....the pink Thor is too cute and he is such a good boy to humor you so!

For your next dye job, don't wait for air drying, use a blow dryer.

Now I've got to get dh to draw that sketch. He can fix the top hat shape, although it may be cuter to leave it as is....lol.

Thor is a dapper little fellow in his tuxedo and top hat. He needs to do photo shoots and grace YT with his adorable visage more often. :)

<smacks forehead> a blowdryer. That makes sense. After a while I got sick of waiting, gave him a bath to get out the excess dye, and then... blow dried him. I guess I could move that up earlier in the process.

Oooh, a sketch! Totally flexible on the hat. I do kind of like it as is. He looks like he's about to have a shoot-out in the OK Corral.

Any chance your husband might want to immortalize Thor with an ice sculpture? I was quite taken with his snow yorkies. :D

BTW, did Ruby receive her pearls?
