okay well not someone his mommy hacked him like this

This is poky he is my best friends Maltese she joined the army and while she has not left yet at just about every opportunity we get all three dogs together(Gatsby poky and her chi mix Chi-Chi) so they showed up at my house last night because she had to be at the army office at 6 in the morning. when poky gets his coat off i see his face.

she hacked at him with scissors because he was getting hair in his eyes and she did not him to get another eye infection. it is horrible,I'm taking him to the groomer first thing Monday morning (she is all booked up over the weekend) but in the meantime I have to look at him and get madder and madder

Thanks. It's actually strange you would be the first because his mommies name is
Tammy Jeannette Meade I always thought it was interesting. you gave the same first name and all three of the same initials, just never had a chance or a reason to mention it before.

Too funny :) We only share the same first name, but neat about the initials.

Aww poor boy! He's got a great smile going on for his pictures :p So sweet of you to take him to the groomer's, can't wait to see updated pictures. Sorry his hair got cut like this.

Was kind of wondering about the "hacking part" myself! :eek: It's only hair. Just be thankful it wasn't yours. :p It's still cute no matter! ;)

It doesn't look to bad for a first try and what an adorable face so smilely. I've been grooming my Maltese for 16 years. They grow pretty quickly and the groomer can do a short version of the puppy cut on the face. I like it when the ears hair are not to long when you get the hair cut short. This is a picture of my Casey he 9 years old and my only male with Chloe when she was a tiny puppy.

Casey is soo cute,how do you get him so white poky is always kinda yellowish or tan like the day after a bath it drives me crazy.

This was not her first attempt she does this once a year at least,This time i just told on her. Poky is kinda snippy he is 12 so he gets irritated easy he actually behaves better for the groomer then for us but she still holds him down and mangles his face. I think its cruel.

Poor baby I've never held one down to groom it :( and they are frighten enough when your doing their little faces. 12 is the age I cut my Holly\'s coat short. I use a whiting shampoo on Casey his ears are a little tan so were my Holly\'s. Tear staining is the hardest part I\'ve found with Maltese I\'m always washing around the eyes with baby shampoo to keep them clean.

I, too was expecting some sort of gruesome story..so glad it was just a haircut...it\'s not that bad, better to see those soulful eyes and great smile than not. It\'ll grow back...
