You are only supposed to leave them 1 Hour for every pound they weigh. At night when you are going to bed, is the only time you can leave them longer. Pau let's me know that he needs to go at 4 to 5 in the morning. I get up and I take him out. It is difficult to get up to do it but at least I know he is being trained. It is hard at first because they would rather be running around but they get used to it and end up liking their crates. Anytime my pup wants to sleep and just relax, he goes in there and he will never go potty in there, he always lets me know at night. He is only in there 2 to 3 hours at a time during the day when we step out. Sometimes when I get home, I'll open the crate and he is just relaxing and doesn't want to come out, but that's not very often :) If you give her your whole house too soon without her being potty trained she might choose her own places to go. Hope this helps :) |
