Well, it took a while for him to let me even so much as touch his ears, but I groomed him, and by groom I shaved him down. He was so horribly matted that it was the only thing I could do, I knew he wouldn't sit still for a brush out so I did the quickest and easiest thing I could think of.

Don't worry, he wears a sweater to keep warm :)

Thank you, I feel so bad for shaving him down, but at least he is free of mats and is developing a sense of trust with me and a brush :) Which is all that matters. Before I know it his hair will be as long and unruly as Rizzos :D

OMG! You certainly shaved him down. lololol He will be beautiful before you know it. I'm going to cut off the hair on my rescue macmutt because he is too matted. Not looking forward to that.

I'm sure he feels 100% better without all of the matts. You might be surprised and find he'll grow out a beautiful silk coat for you.:D

I was thinking that, with the green glow of his eyes for the camera :D He was instantly more playful and happy once I got the mats off his ears, those little things just sprung to life, haha.

Cooper is adorable! He is very nekkid though :p I'm sure his hair will grow back like crazy! Make sure to keep us updated on how he's doing at his new home!

Oh my! I have never seen one shaved ALL THE WAY down like that before! Very nekked! But you are right, before you know it, you will be brushing long, silky mat-free hair! Just keep that poor baby warm in these cold winter months! Is it cold in Italy now? I am not even sure of climate differences.

It's much colder than it was last year this time, but being in Naples has its plus, no snow :D I'm keeping him with a sweater on and he seems pretty satisfied with that (not the first time I put it on him mind you, lol)

He is nekked!!! :D I am sure he feels great now, though! No more matts and baths and brushing are going to be real easy now!
