Riley in recovery..... 3 Attachment(s) Here are a few photos I took of Riley while in recovery from his neuter. The first one is day 1...he came back lookin' and fellin' kinda greasy... The second is last night... which was night 5. The last is him this morning in his Onsie before I left for work. He took his last pain med, this a.m. and so far, so good. |
What a cutie. He looks like he is recovering nicely. |
Yay, I'm glad he's home safe and sound and recovering. I remember Jackson being all nasty too and I wanted tooo bad to give him a bath but had to wait, lol. |
Hope Riley is feeling better and better each day!! He looks so cute in the onesie!! |
Aww hope he feels better. Austin is next in a few. |
I'm glad he's doing so well. He's so darned cute and happy looking, you can't tell he's just had surgery. :) |
Little sweetie, I hope he heals quickly! |
Thanks, all!! It has been difficult keeping him from running and jumping. He was as if nothing happened, the next day. He keeps trying to bully me to throw his ball or any toy across the room. I think he is getting frustrated, because I grab it and just plop it down right beside him. LOL!! :) |
Well................ Riley has been doing great until yesterday when I came home from work and turned him over. He had apparently been majorly licking his incision, all day and it was red and swollen. I about freaked out!! I put him in a baby onsie, last night when we went to bed and this morning it is looking much better. I will put his e-collar on when I go to work, today. UGGGHHH!! I can not wait until this is over it is fully healed. |
Be prepared for one annoyed puppy with the e-collar on. Poor Rizzo would shoot me dirty looks, and then drag the collar along the ground to make as much noise as possible. |

He was doing soooo well. I think it might be getting itchy now, with it healing and the hair growing back. I put the e-cone on him last night, for bed, and he just stood there.... so I took it off and put the onsie on..... I had been using the onsie, last week, and he was okay with it, until he slipped out of it, Friday while I was at work. He has lost priviledges, and the e-cone it is, now! I was trying to tell him it is for his own good!! LOL!!! |
As much humanl language as dogs understand, "it's for your own good" never seemed to be comprehended. Dogs have a lot in common with human teenagers, don't they? |
Bless his heart! He's so cute. It is itching now. Just imagine how it would feel.:( |
I went home, at lunch and let him out.... I took the onsie and cone off for a little bit....... He is Not a Happy Pup! He wouldn't snuggle up with me, like he usually does. He just stood there in front of me, making huffing/puffing sounds. |
