Ha so cute, off course its common for sailors not to mind about what people would say about them;)
Maria | Why do sailors always get a bum rap? Yesterday I read a post about "cussing like a sailor" and today it is "not minding what people say about them." I was a sailor for 22 years. We aren't really THAT bad ;) A little "salty" but not near the bawdy crew we are made out to be. :smhuge2:
In the modern Navy you are more likely to find a :coffee44: in a sailor's hand than a :beermug:. Just saying..... & trying my best to disspell the old stereotypes. I know it was just a joke and I can take one. :D Being around all different branches of the military, I have always wondered why the Navy, in particular gets these comments, though. Really, we aren't a bunch of foul mouth, drunken party hounds. Not angels either but maybe somewhere nice in between? Come to think of it though, I did party quite a lot during my first years in the Navy......;) but then so did my friends who stayed at college. :p LOL!
I am just teasing around Maria -- I really was in the Navy for 22 years but I am not giving you a hard time. Those old sayings were around before I was born and will be when I die. No harm in a little fun. |
