Topknot Fail 4 Attachment(s) I really want Brady to wear bows but I think I need some work getting the topknot right =\ How long did it take you guys to get it? |
It took me awhile to get Princess's hair put up in a top knot. And also when her hair became longer it has become easier. Princess could not stay very still the first few attempts. Now she stays still, actually loves to have me brush her and put her hair up. Your puppy is soooo cute! |
He is precious. I have yet to learn the trick of putting a tiny latex band around a tiny patch of hair on a tiny wiggling head ;) Let me know if you figure it out. |
Awww, Brady is adorable! It took me a lot of practice (& patience), but it's so worth it. You'll be there in no time! :) |
The longer it gets, the easier it will be to pull it back a little more....I know you have some bows you are dying to use :D |
hehe aww! why dont you try to distract him with a toy or chew bone or something - thats what i do with my little girl and shes only 15 wks old it works like a charm for me! although i cant get all of her hair by her eyebrows into it - she still looks like a cutie pie! =) |
He's so cute!:) It will be easier once his hair is longer;) Have you tried a clip to keep it back for now? I found those to be easier. Good luck |
Don't worry, it will get easier, just practice lots so that Brady gets use to having one in :) |
I love that first picture -- such reproach in his eyes. Wonder if it would be easier for you if you did it when he was sleepy. |

Thanks for all the tips guys. Maybe I'll try the clips. Does it have to be specialized doggy clips? I really know very little about this stuff. Also, I just tried to comb his whole body and he would have none of it. He kept biting me or the comb. I want to bathe him tomorrow but I need to comb out all the kinks first right?? |
When mine were little I had to have assistance in order to put in a top knot - and by the way many times they still looked just like yours! My husband would hold a treat that took chewing right in front of their nose. It has to be one they really like. He would let them have little nibbles. While they were intent on getting the treat out of dad's hand I would work on the topknot. We pretty much did the same thing while I brushed out tangles and it worked. Yes - you really need to make sure all the tangles are out before the bath. They'll be much worse after and the next thing you know you have a dog full of matts. Been there - done that too! |
Aww..... Brady is such a cutie!! Don't worry mom you will be a pro in no time at all!!! :D |
I started the day i got porscha i took a pink bow and sweater with me so on the long ride home i brushed and brushed. Her other mom was a groomer so she was used to being brushed and with in a week she was in bows but now that we have the new puppy mee ling she keeps them pulled out so i don't bother now i scared mee ling is going to breake off porscha hair what she has that is |
