What a difference a day makes! Here's a picture of her yesterday and then one from today. Can't believe they went up over night! We tried tape yesterday and that only lasted 1/2 the day then she decided to work til it was off. :rolleyes: So I decided to just leave it and whatever happens, happens. Well, here's what happened while she was sleeping. :)

yay!!! she is so cute, how old is she? I taped Paris' ears for 2 1/2 days and yesterday they were up for the first time ever and stayed up all day and when we woke up this morning, they are right back down. *sigh*.

Stormy is a little over 9 weeks. I had just made up my mind I didn't care if her ears went up or not... that's the funny part. :) Now I'm glad they did cuz she just looks so cute!

Stormy is just so stinkin cute!! She has got to be one of the sweetest looking yorkies i have ever seen! Those eyes have so much life in them...they just twinkle! My Mabel is 9 months old and does not look like a puppy anymore so i miss it. Oh yeah, congrats on her ears!:)

Awwww....she's just a doll!

Milli's ears went up quickly too. When we took her for her first grooming session and the groomer shaped her ears - they went 'pop'! I miss those floppy baby ears though!

How Old?
 
How old was stormy when her ears went up. I have a 10 week old yorkie and her ears go up sometimes and she doesn't seem as fluffy as Stormy. When I learn to upload pictures, I will post some. I'm not too computer savy yet.

First of all, WELCOME to Yorkie Talk! Glad to have you here and congratulation on your puppy! Stormy was 9.5 weeks when her ears went up. I have read here that teething can make them go up and down though. I think she looks so fluffy in that picture because she had a bath and a blow dry and a good brushing the day before I took this. :)

:aimeeyorkI meant to say a 10 week old Yorkie, named Tess. I have never heard of taping the ears up, how do you do that? I can see I have alot to learn.

what a freakin CUTIE! and now i'm jealous AGAIN cuz her ears are up =\ i decided not to tape Hazel's again. i just did it for that one day. ahaha. and it didn't work. they're very close to being up. hopefully we'll get as lucky as you to just have it happen over night!

I don't blame you for not taping again! Not that it hurts them, but you can tell they sure don't like it.:) I don't know if it makes a difference or not, but I also had been (still am) giving Stormy 1 teaspoon of low-fat cottage cheese each day. Someone else on here suggested it and I decided it sure wouldn't hurt to try. :D

I give my 13 week old cottage cheese and yogurt. I shave and have taped his ears numerous times. They are so floppy. When I asked my vet about it she said he looks really cute with floppy ears :rolleyes:

They are much floppier than Stormy's were in the first photo. I've taped his ears for no more than 2 days at a time and when I take the tape off his ears stand for 20 minutes.

We are going to attempt 3 days. Poor baby.

Look at Stormy in my avatar pic. That was taken just a few days earlier. It changed fast! Good luck to you... and floppy ears ARE cute too!

From what I understand, the bigger the puppy, the longer it takes or harder it is for their ears to stand up. Let's just say that my Max is growing by the second.
