Jackson visits Gettysburg & Harpers Ferry, WV 4 Attachment(s) Wow! I can't believe I forgot to post these pictures... oops! This was from 4th of July weekend. It was Jackson's 1st real vacation w/ staying in a hotel room, etc (we did an RV trip once, and a few overnight visits to families homes, but that's it). He did really well, I was very proud. He really enjoyed walking around Gettysburg and got a ton of attention with his little American flag bandana! ;) He also did fabulous in the hotel that night. I had to leave him alone for about 2 1/2 hrs when we went to dinner and was a little concerned since he was by himself and never had stayed in a hotel before but when we left... I heard no barking (I stood in the hall for a few mins) or whining or anything! Yay! The next day we went to Harpers Ferry, WV. Beautiful :) On the Shenandoah River! His favorite part was definitely the water. In WV, we had to stay in a crappy motel and it was very noisy all night... so he decided to bark every hour at any loud noise outside :rolleyes::rolleyes: that was fun (not!), and something I wasn't prepared for it since he has never done it before! OK, so for the pics!!! :p:) |

nice pictures Good job Jackson ! For being such a good boy in the hotel, But it is so hard not to bark when you hear all of those odd noises out side the door. You are a cutie pie in the water keeping cool on such a warm day. Tell Mom that we are going to have to get together soon at the dog park . Jackie, Sadie, Rosie,and Julie are waiting to meet you and also Romeo, but he is not a yorkie like all you guys but he is just as sweet. And also Lilly, she'll be coming also because she lives here with the rest of the group, She is a Jack Russell and she loves to run and play ball. So you probably won't see much of her, because that's all she does at the park.Also we will have to let Maggie May and Hot Rod' Mom know when it works out for all of us to get together becaue they want to come as well, I am sure. Any way tell Mom to get to me when it works for her and we can meet you. Well, we will talk soon . |

It looks like Jackson had a great Fourth of July. Usually my girls are so worn out by the end of the day on trips, the most they can muster up at night is the half-asleep growl. I know how frustrating it can be to be exhausted and woken up from a deep sleep repeatedly. Those recent pictures are adorable!!! He has a look of pure joy on his face. I love it! |

Great pictures!!!!! We went to Harpers Ferry last August, and had a blast, however, we didn't bring the dogs with us, but everyone on the camp site had dogs there!!!!!!! |

It looks like Jackson had a lot of fun on his trip :) Couver has travelled a lot, and still sometimes barks in hotels :rolleyes: It's just their nature! They know they have to protect their mommies :p |

What a traveling boy! Looks like he had such a great time swimming. Sorry you couldn't find a really nice hotel. Maybe Charleston is the only place with nice ones. Anyway, you have made more memories and that's what it's all about. :D |
