He is such a handsome boy - I really like this cut on him. :) He looks like he's adjusting well. So glad he's feeling better.

Ahhhh ... Sonny looks great and I love his haircut! My daughter, who is a vet tech, says that the little ones bounce back really quickly. It's as though they don't even realize they lost a limb. :thumbup::thumbup: Please give Sonny extra hugs & kisses from Toto & me ... oh, and from my sweet daughter, Amanda! ;)

What a cutie! He looks well adjusted. Animals do such a better job at handling handicaps than humans.

I'm so happy to be able to see this thread. As you know the other was blocked for me. He is such a handsome guy. I'm glad all is behind the two
of you and wish him a wonderful healthy life now. Bless his heart.

his mom chewed off his foot at birth she must of thought it was the cord, breeder never even knew , i noticed it on way home , but got my money back, and got to save him, vets waited till he was strong enough to cope with the op , he is 1 now and he got his stitches out today, all went well :D only one more vet check in 2 weeks and thats him, he a soldier boy lol

thanks so much archie, he running mad and jumping everywhere lol, i can see he feels great without it, as he had to hold the bone off floor as it wud bleed , the part leg was more off a pain to him :D

Years ago I had a Beagle who was quite the rabbit chaser, and got his leg wrapped in bobwire. He too had to have an amputation.
I was so upset about it but you know what it was amazing!
That crazy dog, after he healed, used his stump for a kickstand, and would spin tight circles when he was happy and excited!. It was hysterical! He used it so much he developed a callous on the end.
So you might be in for a real treat:p

lol,,,, i wud have loved to see that x they are amazin how they cope no matter what happens to them, wish it were as easy for us to cope that way lol;)
