Update on Rescue from Japan
1 Attachment(s) As some of you may remember, a dear friend of mine, who is Japanese and living in the US, brought I little abandoned girl from Japan in August. Kayla (her new American name) had been kept in a pen in the garage by an elderly couple who didn't know how to deal with a teeny tiny baby girl (she was barely 2 lbs when she arrived)
Happy to report Kayla is doing great in her new home. She is just a pinch over 3 lbs now, at around 18 months. She used to hide all the time, but now she feels brave enough to join her new tiny friends at playtime. But she always runs for cover when anyone she doesn't know comes around.
Here she is peaking out from under my dining room table during Christmas. She saw my husband trying to get a picture and she fled to her "safety zone" next to one of Patrick's many beds. She is too precious :aimeeyork |
