Help with posting picture
 
Okay, I know I'm a newby, and I've read the FAQ under how to add a picture, but can someone tell me in layman's terms how to add my baby's picture to the thread postings when I want to reply??? I have the picture and have tried to do it properly, but when I check back, it's not there!!!:confused:

I'm not very good at explanations like this, but I'll try to help.

When you click on "Post" and the text box appears, on the top line there are icons -"Fonts, Sizes" etc. Click on the "paperclip icon" and you should get a pop up box that allows you to "browse" for the picture you're uploading. Once you've selected your picture and click "upload", your picture should appear after you've clicked "submit reply" at the bottom of the text box.

If your picture doesn't upload, it could be that it needs to be resized? Are you getting any error messages after you try to upload a picture?

Thanks!!! And everything you said worked and it is showing an error message when I tried to put in the picture - so I'll go get another picture. :)

Yes, you explained it beautifully; however, I also wanted to put her picture under my profile name of Becca and I can't seem to get it there - any other suggestions for me???

The picture that shows up under your name on pages where you post is called the "avatar". To upload a picture to use as an avatar, click on this page: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/pro...?do=editavatar

The picture that show up on your "profile page" is called the "profile picture", and you upload that on this page. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/pro...editprofilepic

Oh I see you've got a picture uploaded as your profile picture already and that's adorable. You can use the same picture as your avatar, but you upload it where you edit your avatar.

Go to "user CP" which stands for control panel, and its on the top left hand side of the page, here's a shortcut. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/usercp.php. You will see many options to set and change things around.
