This is my darling Bartleby.
 

Hi everyone. I wanted to put my little baby out here and introduce him. He was born on Sept 6th 2009, and we have had him since Dec 30th 2009. So, this is my Bartleby. The little guy is amazing, and I have nothing but good things to say about him. I am so curious though about his coloring, and all of the information I find is overwhelming. I just ponder how he will turn out, and I am looking forward to watching him grow up. The hair on the top of his head is turning very light, and at first I thought he was losing hair, but along his back his hair is also turning very light, I don't know what color it would be considered. His hair also feels very fine, and seems sparse. What this might indicate is beyond me. He is my first Yorkie, I also have two dachshunds and a terrier/dachshund mix. They all love/tolerate him and he looks up to them, literally and as the baby in need of guidance.
But anyway, there he is. And I'm Jenny. Nice to "meet" all of the Yorkie lovers on here. Also, if anyone has any insight into his coloring, do tell :).
The last photo is kind of odd looking and didn't turn out well (I lost my SD card and the pic is from my iphone). It is of his back though.

It can take up to 2 years to see their final color, so you won't know for a while.

thanks everyone! He is pretty mellow, but when he gets hyper he does full body hops/pounces onto the other dogs... or my face. He's too much fun!

He is such a little sweetie! If he is not having any dry, itchy or irritated skin I would not be concerned with his sparse hair just yet. Yorkie coats go through many changes up to their first year. My little Lea was very sparse as well, now at 1.5 yrs has a full coat of very fine hair.
