Reno the BikerDog! 4 Attachment(s) Introducing Reno the BikerDog! As you can guess from his name, he loves to ride on the motorcycle with us. Reno is a 13 year old, male Yorkie. He is a working mascot for a group called Warriors' Watch Riders. The WWR is a motorcycle based group of people that help support our troops, first responders and their families by various means. We treat them like rock stars! Reno also visits with our older, WW2 veterans whenever asked. |

Reno is a just too darn cool!:) |
Welcome to YT. Reno sure is cute. Jack is our biker dog. He will do anything for a ride. His sisters hate it. LOL |
I would love to know how you trained your dog to ride the bike. We just got little Abby, she is 9 weeks old and since we enjoy riding, we want her to learn also. Your advice would be greatly appreciated. |
Jack was 9 months old when we got him. We started out by riding him in the front basket of our 4 wheeler. He loved it so we tried the motercycle. Now if he hears the motercycle or 4 wheeler start up he begs to go. I would think with a puppy just start off with a slow ride around the block and see if he likes it. |
so cute!!! Just make sure he doesn't fall off! |
OMG look at this biker Yorkie. How cool is he?:p I think thats great he enjoys it so much. There's no end to what they can do or like. I am glad he found you or visa vera. Thanks for sharing and welcome. |

Hello We didn't really do anything to train him. For years we used to ride our bicycles on Chicago's lakefront bike path and in many other events. Often the rides varied from 20-50+ miles, taking several hours to all day. Reno rode in a basket on the front of my wife's bike and he stood up the entire time! He probably logged between 5-6,000 miles like that. One day she wanted to take him on the motorcycle and tried to carry him between us. Reno kept moving around until she let him put his front paws on my shoulder, his 2 rear on her. He's been standing like that ever since! He's fine up to about 70MPH, above that he becomes airborne and actually lifts off. Now before anyone gets upset, he is in a full harness. He is securely strapped in and safely clipped to the passenger. The farthest he could fall would be about a foot, or to my wife's leg. He also wears Doggles while riding. He has no problems with those either. He will not wear a helmet. We tried. (but neither will I) |
