My (sorta) New Yorkie Lola!(1st time owner) 4 Attachment(s) hey YT! I really love this site and knew it was time for me to join! I have had Lola for about 5 months now, she is 7 months old and I love love love her to death. she has floppy ears , which I know are not the standard but I love her ears so much I couldn't change them at all. :D when I first got her I heard so many stories about "yorkies bark all the time, and are hard to train, and are mean and hate new people." WOOOOOW was that ALL wrong, LoLo is the FRIENDLIEST dog I have ever been around. SHE LOOVES people(I have been trying to calm this down, but I am not sure how, she still pulls on her leash and jumps at almost every person she sees LOL) she was kind of tough to train but she has learned the house is a no-no potty place, and honestly I didn't know she could bark until like the 3rd month LOL. now she only barks when she heres a knock at the door...like I hear her bark once every like 3 days...she loves to play with kids and dogs and cats...anything that moves she wants to play. she's super silly and I love her, I have gotten LOTS AND LOTS of help from YT these past months and I just wanted to thank everybody for all the post...keep em coming! :):D:) |
Lola is beautiful , you mist be so proud of her. I love the way you have blurred out her girly bits, first time i've noticed anyone doing that to their photos, and you have done so well in the training potty department, we still have a couple of accidents if I'm not taking any notice. And my boy George barks at anything new or even some other dog walking past home so you're lucky Lola is a quiet baby |
Welcome! I have a floppy earred girl too and just love her the way she is, I wouldnt trade her for the world! |
thanks thanks!! Your George is TOO adorable. I didn't think anyone would notice the blur! She was just so exposed and she's a lady, I have to give her some privacy LOL. It took Lola about a month to realize that outside was the potty, honestly being harsh didn't help much it just made her scared and go potty in the bathroom..I would take cheese out with me and she learned that potty in the house= no cheese and sad mommy, potty outside=cheese and kisses! it took her about 4 days to get that. And her little bark is so small it's cute and useless LOL everyone thinks she's broken, she will be in a house with 3 loud barking dogs and the only one quiet. =) she is special and even my mom(who claims she hates dogs) constantly asks about her and buys her outfits. YT helped me pick her food(wellness puppy, I had her on Royal Canin, but got on here and saw all the bad things about it and changed her QUICK, and realized she wasn't even chewing Royal Canin because the peices are so small, and the very 1st day she started Wellness I could tell she liked it but would spit it out and when she did finally start to chew SIX rotted baby teeth came out..scared me half to death lol but I am so grateful for the info and the switch) and so many other questions that I had. So thanks for all of the posts again! |
