Autumn Nebraska Yorkie Meet Up
 

Well yes..........we had hoped for a beautiful fall day in the park with yorkie friends and their fur kids. HOWEVER, Mother Nature decided to make it a more winter-like day. Earlier in the week the forecast was for highs only in the mid to upper 40's; that alone was making us nervous. On Thursday, Renee had heard predictions of even colder temps with the possibility of flurries, so she graciously offered to host the meet up at her house. It's a good thing she did, because true to the unpredictability of good ole Nebraska weather, we woke up to snow covered grass & trees, with the snow continuing until about 10am. We ended up with about 4-5 inches; luckily only on the grassy areas as the pavement was still to warm for the snow to stick.
So, we spent the afternoon all cozy & warm inside Renee's home with snacks for the fur-kids and a variety of snacks for us skin-folk too, brought in by each of us. Guests for this meet up included Renee (rbelland) & hubby Gary & their daughter Bethany, myself & my DH Jim, Nicole (NicoleK), and Betty (MissSophie). Fur-kids attending were Renee's Tayah, Harley, and Jazzy, Nicole's Sofie, Betty's Sophie, and I brought my two boys Lucky & Toby. Halle had to sit this meet up out at home with her baby boy, Oscar. We also had the pleasure of sharing this Nebraska meet up with Yodi, the traveling Yorkie!

After Betty left we remembered we had wanted to get a pic of the fur kids with Yodi, the traveling Yorkie. So here they are (minus Sophie:()LtoR - Sofie, Harley, Tayah, Jazzy, Toby, Lucky, and YODI!

It was so nice to see everyone again!! I did not want to wait until spring to get these furbabies together again. It worked out perfectly!!! Thanks for bringing all the snacks!! My three are all zonked out right now!!!

I am so not ready for the snow yet!! But we did have a great time! I thought we would have to cancel but it all worked out great!! I live in Bellevue.

Well we had about 4 inches here outside of CB. Most of itis gone now.

Same here!!!!! My mom lives in C.B. Maybe you can come to our meet-up in the spring!!!! It is alot of fun to get them together!!

Well it looks like your play day was a hit! All the furkids look so cute. They look like they had lots of fun too.

Thank you Renee for doing this. Sophie and I had a great time. We just got home from shopping at Bass Pro and Village Point, then eating at Mahoney. Sophie is pretty tired too. We are looking forward to the spring meet-up.

Jeanie, we would love it if you could join us for one (or more) of our future meet ups and I'm sorry we missed you these first couple of times. We will be sure to notify you next time. We've got a Nebraska social group here on YT; we'd love for you to join us there too. The group need not be as exclusive as it's name implies........CBI is surely close enough to Nebraska to count you in! :D

Betty, it was GREAT to meet you today! Shy little ole me loves to meet new friends; especially friends with yorkies! :D Your Sophie is a sweet girl and I look forward to seeing you both again.

Renee, it was great to see you again too........oh wait, I see you all the time!:p Well, let's just say I am so glad we've become such good friends. Thanks for your hospitality today and always, for your friendship!

...........and Nicole...........haven't seen you on the thread yet, but it was also great to see you and little Sofie again today too. I was anxious too see how Sofie had changed since seeing her as a little pup last June. She is becoming quite the little beauty!
