Meet NINJA!
 

Hello there everybody. I decided to join this forum after I googled what foods my baby can and cannot eat & it linked me here. I thought it'd be a good idea to join to learn more about Yorkies & taking care of dogs since Ninja is my first dog.

When I got Ninja he was 2 months old. His birthday is August 16 so he's almost 1 years old. He was a surprise present, sort of unwanted & not practical considering that I'm a full time UCD student. But of course I fell in love with him and love him very much now & have tried my very best to cater to his needs. He was a nightmare up until now. Ninja is trained to use the liter box when no one can take him out. Sometimes he misses but he's getting better everyday.

The reason why his name is Ninja is because I always wanted a full black Yorkie to name Ninja. Little did I know.. Yorkies are only black when they are babies. I didn't know much about dogs until I actually got one.

Anyways, here are some pictures of my little boy. The first one is when I first got him and the second one is what he looks like now. I'm trying to find a girlfriend for him. He's purebred. I taught him how to sit, shake, lay down, and jump but he only understands Chinese.

:D I'm super happy I signed up on here. There's so much information! When I first got him, I was scratching my head and just trying to google everything and youtube videos on how to train him.

I have some medical questions and basic dog owning questions though. I'm not sure if this is the right section to post..

Ninja got his DHPP's and rabies shot already. Are there any other shots that he's suppose to get? And does rabies need to be done every year?

And I'm in need of pet insurance. I know I should have done it a long time ago but I haven't gotten around to it yet. Any recommendations? I was thinking Banfield but I'm not sure.

Hi & welcome to YT! Ninja is a doll! Yes, he will need rabies shot every year. I also do Bordetella,{kennel cough}. I do not kennel my dogs, but if a dog has kennel cough and comes in contact with your dog, your dog can get it. Since I travel with my dogs, it is better to be safe! Never know what you will come in contact with!

He also does this weird thing where he rubs his face into the rug and paws his ears. It's super cute but seems abnormal. I don't think he has fleas because I put the monthly flea medication on his back. And I was thinking it might be earmites? I have some earmite drops but I don't know how well they work because I've dropped them in his ears before and he'd freak out.

Oohh, I'll have to go check that treatment out. Sounds like a good deal.
