This is Winston's new summer haircut... very short on the body (and I butchered the face a bit :doh:)

oh i like it! did you groom him yourself? how did you do it? do you use a buzzer? how do you do the face? (i take milu to groomers)

Thanks for the compliment! I just used a clipper and an attachment. First time for both of us so I like to think I did pretty well. :) Its a bit shorter then I anticipated though. I pretty much winged it on his face and just used my hands and a good pair of shears. He came out pretty even (thank goodness!) but I don't have the experience to have blended it in pretty well so he's got some obvious cut marks depending on how you look at it. He also has a tiny bald spot on the one side of his face near his eyes when he moved. He was an awful matted mess when I adopted him so he looks so much better now!

but does he freak out when you use the clipper on him? i tried with milu, and she doesn't like the clipper because of the noise and the vibration. (how to make them not freak out about that?)

you have to be careful with the scissors near the eye!!! :eek:

He was pretty nervous about the clipper (a LOT of new experiences at the time) so I just did little bits at a time. (I did just sit there on the couch with him for a while with the clipper in my hand, and then while it was running and then slowly bringing it a bit closer every so often for him to get used to it.) Little strip here, 15 minute break, another strip there. I was very careful about the eyes (my fingers not so much though,) he just happened to move enough to change my angle a touch and I chopped out a little of the top of his eyebrow. (So its one real short part) Eyes are something I'd much rather leave to the professionals! I think I just notice it because I know its there... lol
