Making people smile.... (pics and videos) 3 Attachment(s) Hi everyone! Sully and I just got back from his 4th visit to a local nursing home with our Therapy Dog group! We had a great time and Sully was wonderful! I finally took my camera and was allowed to take a few pictures, with their permission. I also (sneakily) took a couple videos just to share with everyone here on YT! Without further ado, here is Sully, making people smile! Here is a very short video of Sully: http://www.jusspress.com/day.php?use...entTime=215112 This video is of Luke, a golden retreiver. Sully and I also stood there and Sully did his tricks a couple of times through for this group as well, before we went visiting room-to-room. http://www.jusspress.com/day.php?use...entTime=215612 (OH, and before Luke met Sully, he wouldn't do any tricks at all! His owner said that Sully inspired Luke to learn these few tricks, haha!) PS. This one lady, in the pink shirt.....the nurse said she had never seen her smile like she does every week when Sully visits!!!! |
Oh Val...Sully kissing on that man was the BEST ! What a great video and I just love Sully - way to go making people smile - there is nothing better in the world that to be able to do that - GREAT PICTURES girl ! BIG hugs to Sully the Wonder Dog ! |

Aw how sweet! |
Sharing the love of Sully is such a generous act of kindness! It's truly nice to see that there are such nice people in the world that will go out of their way to provide a little happiness for others. Great job Val and Sully!!!!!! |
Ok,,, not to be mean , but I can't resist,,, I sure hope Sully made it back to those two in the background of pic#2,, they sure look like they a Sully kiss. It is great what you and Sully are doing. My Mom works at a nursing home and she wants me to bring Bailey up to visit,, I dont know, sometimes he can get a little feisty. |
Angel Sully Val, you are truly a special person. The picture of you holding Sully next to the elderly lady shows the love you have for people and this little guy. Sully is the luckest dog that ever lived  oooops almost anyway, someone down here is looking at me and I think she can read. I hope your future plans work out well for you and all the good you do for others (all those avatars) etc. etc. will come back to you a hundred fold. |
That is so nice of you. I'm sure they look forward to your visits. Sully is a real ham and very cute, too! |
Acts of Kindness~ Val... I think what your doing is wonderful.... :) I also want to help Sophie become a Therapy doggie. We live near many military hospitals..and have had soldiers injured suffering with months of intense therapy... I think a Yorkie can help so much in that respect... ;) :) I'm proud of you and Sully ;) ...those pictures warmed my heart.... :) Sophie starts her first puppy class on Tuesday... Thanks for taking the time to put the photos here for us to see. You and Sully are very caring and Special~ :D |

and it was one of the most rewarding things I have ever done. |
What do you have to do to get them to be a Therapy dog? The last post said a program. How did you go abt it? |
You are just tooo nice! You're making the rest of us look bad! I take Pita with me to the adult arcade...it's a place with penny slot machines in it where all the old ladies hang out...the old ladies love her but she doesn't really like them, they want to hold her and stick their faces in her face and Pita is just not into it. Otherwise I think it would be cool to do the therapy but she's just not cut out for it Good for you and Sully! :bravo: |
