I was taking a few pics of Jolene for her scrapbook, and noticed her eyes are green! Usually, when I use a flash, Penny's eyes are red, not green. How weird is that?!

Laya's eyes are green in pictures. When she was a puppy they were bright yellow. We used to call her evil eye. LOL

Green is a sign of a nice true silky coat! There are some exceptions to this rule of thumb but for the most part green is a silky coat and red is a cottony coat.

Really?! How cool is that?! I love the way she looks, and if her coat comes in silky that would rock! She mats much easier than my Penny, and has to be brushed much more often (at least once a day). Penny can be brushed twice a week and only get little knots.

So cute!! My Pixie eye's flash green/yellow and she has a real silky coat. So hopefully Jolene will have a silky coat.

I love the green eyed look, little emeralds shinning in their eyes. Maybe it's an acquired taste, but I think it's beautiful. You can lessen it by adding additional lighting, just a small desk lamp with a sixty-watt bulb shinning toward their face is enough to eliminate it, but in time you may grow to love it. :eek: Wow that is so cool, I didn't know that! I always wondered why Uni's eyes glowed green in some pics. She does have a very silky soft coat. here's one of my fav pics of her.

does anyone know how old the pups are when the green and red starts to for the eye color in pics? or do they start right away when eyes open?

green eyes in a photo.. is a sign of a true silk yorkie...a good sign in my opinion... looks absolutely beautiful.... anne

Young pup's eyes generally show up bluish, and I believe it around 5 or 6 months when many reported seeing their first green eye picture. Don't forget, they only show up when a flash is used, outdoor pictures don't have the green eye effect.
