By golly, Yodi's been tweeting her fingers off the entire day since she's arrived! Talk about addicted and enabling stalkers! I am totally against such tools. :( Resizing, etc, will post pictures documenting our first day with Yodi, hopefully, in a short while. It was a long day! And it's nearly midnight now. Please be patient with us. :D But I want to thank luckylady in advance for the note cards! They're so pretty, maybe Pichu will use them to send out greetings to everyone! :cool: |

The 2010 Olympic Oval 4 Attachment(s) Before getting to the next destination, Yodi was almost blown away by the wind! She's a super lightweight. What a tiny little girl she is! Without further ado, Yodi gets to visit the Richmond Olympic Oval where the ice events of the 2010 Olympics will be taking place! The First Impression 3 Attachment(s) I don't know how to say this. I would like to start with an apology for my little girl. She is always letting her excitement get to her. She's been anticipating the arrival of a new furry friend for what feels like a LONG time for her. She's been an avid follower of Yodi's travels from the beginning. Finally, the promised sleepover, however brief, has become reality. I can't really blame her. But I feel bad as a parent for her poor manners... It's all my fault. I hope Yodi can accept the boatload of affection Pichu's pouring onto her. :eek::eek::eek: |
More excited than you know... 2 Attachment(s) You had to be there to see the craziness. Pichu was CRAZY and until Yodi went to bed, she was still just as obsessed with Yodi as ever. I think Yodi must have the sweetest doggy scent ever--or she's smelling luckylady's yummy party feast. What you do not see is the literal flying, hopping, bouncing eagerness to reach Yodi when one of us so much as handles Yodi to take her out the door in preparation for the day's outting! And did I mention Pichu was being VERY vocal about it?! That is too weird and amusing at the same time! I had my jaw dropped most of the day today! It does not end here... It's simply amazing at how crazy in love Pichu is with Yodi. However, I am not so sure the feeling is mutual. :rolleyes: |
Vancouver Convention Centre 2009 4 Attachment(s) The Vancouver Convention Center finished building not long ago just this year! It's just one of my favourite spots to relax and enjoy the clean air and gentle breeze as you face the harbor. Thank goodness this stranger and her maid and her baby girl did not seem to take offense nor did they scream in fear of a lunatic dog running their way! Just kidding! 4 Attachment(s) Soooo... after saying goodbye to the beautiful scenery and in the hopes of Yodi cheering up, I had decided to take her for a culinary experience only available in our Downtown Vancouver. It is known as THE place to buy your hot dogs. People suffer the poor hours and LONG line-ups to eat here. Their hot dog umbrella stand is known as "JAPADOG". They've recently opened another location with even more limited hours (catering to the weekday downtown office lunching bunch). But location number two sports a new menu which hosts FISH sausages that the very busy original location lacks! They make you WORK for the new attractions. So anyway, seeing that the original stand still had a line-up, albeit a short one, we decided to take Yodi to try the fish dogs. Fortunately, it was far from busy as it was also nearing 5 pm. |
Downtown Vancouver Culinary Specialty - JapaDog 4 Attachment(s) Seeing as how Yodi had only just landed in Vancouver today and already we must have more than exhausted her physically, while Pichu must have her emotionally worn down also, Yodi was encouraged by me to take a nap inside the well ventilated bag while we await our order of JapaDogs. :) Attachment 279368 Unfortunately, none of us were aware of the new rule Pichu had in place. We apparently needed her permission before Yodi's allowed to take a nap. This just means Yodi is plain not allowed. :( Attachment 279369Attachment 279370 (How smart of her. JapaDog Continued... 4 Attachment(s) Pichu just never gives up. We even have two elderly men come up to ask what might be inside that bag that's having our girl dig vigorously at it. Build-A-Bear - Prologue to a dinner 4 Attachment(s) We met up with hubby since dinner time is rolling around. Hot dogs are junk food, so we needed a proper cool meal to fill our bellies in this stifling heat wave. That being said, Yodi simply could not attend dinner as she was. We had to get our guest clothed. So a trip to the mall was in order. Attachment 279381 This is Metrotown located in Burnaby, BC, a municipality just southeast of South Vancouver. Build-A-Bear resides inside this massive building. :) Here, our quest to find Yodi attire appropriate for her first night out with us as well as an extra piece for her day wear begins. |
Build-A-Bear continues 4 Attachment(s) Not meaning to insult our guest, we do understand she is not of the bear species. With this, Yodi's fitting was completed with wonderful results. :D |
