You guys are so inviting - thank you!! It's heartbreaking to see these dogs in those conditions and I am a sucker of course, but it works out for the dogs and me so it's all good in the end. Tobymom, it's great that you rescued Chloe, I am sorry to hear you are having some trouble. They go through so much in their life in those 2x2 cells that it's not surprising she still has some issues, it's a lot to recover from. I don't know if this will help you, but I thought this link put Mill rehabilitation into a good perspective Puppy Mills Best wishes to all! |

...and normally shy Tater is definitely breaking her out of that shell! As she sits and observes he will pounce over with what used to be a stuffed toy (he of course has since pulled all the stuffing out) and pretty much fling it at her. Then he pounces at her and she starts pawing at him and then will eventually give chase, then he chases etc. Very cute to watch. It makes me sooooo happy to see her progress in only 2 days time! |
your furbabies are both gorgeous. welcome to the forum! |
Hi and welcome!!!! I love the story behind your adoptions!!! Wonderful!! Your babies are beautiful!!! Please keep us posted on Cossettes progress! Tator is adorable!!! And they are both so lucky to have you!! |
Welcome to Yorkie Talk!! Your 2 little furbabies are way toooo cute!!:D You will find a lot of great people here. |
So everyday is a new adventure! Today has been a good one fore the most part though. Coco got a bath today. I had bought a special extendable head for my shower because I used to soak myself when I did it with the sink sprayer...oops! :) She didn't do well in the tub. From what I read they would not removed the dogs from their cages when spraying out their quarters so I assume that's why she is freaked of the shower spray so I had to resort to the old fashion cup....that went much better. She is now so clean. Her coat is very thick, I am not sure if she is growing in a new healthy coat or if it is from having pups or what but the girl's got a lot of hair! Need to definitely set a grooming appt. But I want to give her some more time to become adjusted to being handled etc. first. The next accomplishment of th day is making it accident free in the house so far. She even pooped outside (which she has refused to do). It was on the sidewalk, but who cares it better than the house! :bravo:Go Coco!!! :cheer: |
Welcome, thanks for sharing the cute photos! My Yorkie is a rescue also. |
