Twinkle's had her first haircut! She looks great! 4 Attachment(s) Hi everyone:) I just had to share these pics of Twinkle after her first ever trip to the groomers. I think she looks soooo beautiful! I kept the hair long on her tail because I like how it looks and they didn't take too much off her head, as I'm hoping to be able to persuade her to have a topknot eventually:rolleyes: I really wish you could all smell her! She smells fantastic - good enough to eat! For a wash and dry (lovely organic shampoos and conditioners), hair cut and nails cut it cost a very reasonable £25 ($18 ish), All that and unlimited tea/coffee in their special lounge where I could see Twinkle on the cctv monitor. I think you'll all agree she looks great! Thanks for looking:D xxx xxx |
She looks lovely  They sound like a very good groomers! |

$18...what a deal!!!! She looks really cute in her new hair cut!! I love her face...and how it is cut!! She does really look happy with her new hair cut!!! What a sweetie!!!! I always kept Mojo longer...but I started keeping him short because I loved him in clothing sooo much and shorter hair was always easier to take care of after wearing clothes....course, now, I am back on wanting long hair on him again... hahaha  |

WOW!!! Twinkle looks BEAUTIFUL! All grown up:cry:(Happy tears:rolleyes:) I'm getting impatient to see Mika's adult colours, but I really want her to have long hair so I guess I'll just have to wait:rolleyes: I'm lucky that Mika never matts even if I don't brush her for a day or two! Now I can see how Mika might look with short hair :D I must admit I'm alittle tempted:D But I'll be patient and persevere then someday you'll be able to see how Twinkle might look with long hair:D |
Oh my God! She looks like a different dog!  How great does little Miss Twinkle Toes look?! WOW!!! Claire honey, she looks magnificent, truly beautiful! Jess :heart to |

Awww Twinkle does look adorable in her new hair do. :)They did a great job. They fact that you could sit and watch was so good too. I dont take mine to the groomers I just tend to do it myself but I coulld never have the courage to cut their hair , I just trim it :). give alfie a little fringe but keep Lottie with the bow in all the time, but just now with all the cold weather and wearing jackets all the time their hair has been getting a bit matted but I just keep brushing it out :( another little job to do!!! LOL Do you wear coats on Twinkle? |

$ 18.00 plus you can stay and have tea and watch. That's terrific. Here in the states in PA. I pay $ 28.00 plus tip and have to drop him off and pick him up 2 hours later!! Your little Twinkle has the cutest face...The groomer did a great job. Baron was blk/tan until he was groomed @ 7 1/2 months and was blue/tan after all his puppy coat was gone. Everyone thought I got another dog!! It took me awhile to get used to seeing him short haired!! Take-Care, :D |

Great cut and I love the idea that they allow you to watch the process on TV. Hopefully, this trend will come over here, but with coffee! :D |

she looks so cute :D it's really nice that they let you watch it on the monitor. i won't let the groomers wash milu because they take milu to the back room where i am not allowed, and all i can hear is all the dogs back there barking. i don't trust them enough!!! so i always wash milu myself and bring her in for a hair and nail trim. sounds like you found a really nice place to take twinkle! here it's $15 just for a nail trim. and no TEA! lol |

thank you for comparing it to skin kids, because i feel less like a crazy person now :p actually the first time i took milu to the groomers, i let them take her to the back to wash her. they wouldn't let me follow them, and i had to stay in the main room, i totally had separation anxiety:rolleyes: people in the front room kept asking me if i was ok. lol i peeked in the backroom, and i saw the way that they were handling milu which made me angry. they kept pushing her away, because she wanted to be held by the groomer because she was afraid of the hair dryer they were using on her. but the groomer just kept pushing her away and pulling on the strap thingy, so it looked like she was dangling from it a bit.(cause she is little and skinny) it was awful  so i never want to have her out of my sight again if i can help it!!!! i did find another groomer that i feel better with, but i still don't want to let milu out of my sight!!! |

That's terrible! I would've been so upset if I'd seen someone, especially someone I was paying to do a job, handle my dog like that! No wonder you dont like taking her to groomers now, such a horrid experience! It's completely understandable to be protective and concerned about your little dog, I mean they are so volnerable and very easily hurt/scared. I'm in search of a good groomers now for the first time...wish me luck! ;) Jess :heart to |

they are not BAD groomers...i mean, not everyone has the exact same definition of what is too mean and what is not. my definition of what if too mean is very different from the groomers...otherwise, i wouldn't have to take milu to the groomers in the first place lol. (also, milu wiggles too much when i try to cut her nails or trim her hair) |

good luck to you with your search for a good groomer. you can ask your friends and family to see if they recommend anyone. (you can also search online for customer reviews) also, if you want to take her to a chain store, most of them have the window for you to look at the dogs being groomed. you can check out the diff. groomers and see who you would like to be your groomer based on the way they handle the dogs. honestly, most of them seems kind of mean when you observe over the window. but in a way, they have to be a little tough...otherwise, they will never get anything done... it is obviously the best if you can learn to groom your baby yourself. but...it takes a lot of patience....which i don't have. lol good luck!:D |
Twinkle toes is looking beautiful! sounds like a good groomers..not easy to find..Pixie's first groom was a nightmare! but I have found a good one now thankfully! |
