My LSU Yorkie! My husband came home from work tonight and we had to model all of Carter's new clothes for him! We're LSU fans and I think I'm really lovin' this image! Go Tigers!! :) :o :) :o :) :o Lisa http://lneal.com/family/carter/lsu.jpg |
I'll have an answer to that soon, and it will have something to do with ELEPHANTS!!! I must admit he's a gorgeous yorkie, but I think another little yorkie I know will look pretty cute too, except he'll have on CRIMSON and WHITE!!! |

I actually had this shirt before we began our LSU/Bama discussions this week. There is an LSU jersey I want but I know the XS will be too big unfortunately. BTW -- the ceramic looking cat in the gallery images drives Carter nuts! Heck . . .it drives me nuts . . . it was here when I met and married Ed and I haven't been able to get rid of it yet. I'll have to get a yorkie figure to replace the cat! ;) Go Tigers!!! :) :o :) :o :) :o http://www.lneal.com/familylsu/bama/ga8p1031e_std.jpg http://www.lneal.com/familylsu/bama/ga8p1216-1e_std.jpg |
Those pictures are so priceless - LOVE the new shirt! Not only do you have an adorable baby - you are SO talented! :) |
Thanks, Aimee!! I love my sports photography best. The images of Carter tonight were only snapshots in our living room -- not in the photo studio. He'd never play like that in the studio. :) |
Yes, I HAVE to say your sports photography is amazing! It looks straight out of Sports Illustrated (even better, imo!) - I just love Carter's coat too - very, very pretty! |
I am very impressed with your photog skills. We have this new Canon digital that does everything, but I have no idea how to make it do so. My fiance also dabbles with it a bit -- he's got a field quality Canon non-digital too, we are such rookies. I always had to take pics for my journalism classes with crappy digitals, but on the web sometimes that's okay. Anyway, I love the pics! Do you freelance for teams or for the papers in the area, or do you do more studio work? Carter's cat pics, BTW, are cute. Send me the cat and I'll send you the cement elephant we have;) Fair trade? I'm kidding of course; thought it was worth a chuckle. |
GREAT pictures!!! My Patrick worked in television news for years as a videographer and got "tackled" more than once on the sideline!! All our work has been with video and not much in "stills" which is really his first love! His favorite is still B&W! Naturally ... we are much like plumbers whose home always has the leaky pipes! We didn't do that much personal video or stills when we weren't working ... that business doesn't allow you much time off!! We had our own television production studio for several years and it was such hard work, when we finally did make a "career" change it was the smartest thing we ever did! We were just getting toooo old. We "dabble" a little in still photography now as a hobby [can't remember the last time we turned the video camera on!! :) ] but haven't gotten the hang of getting good shots of Toto ... she's just too darned fast for us!!! ;) Carter's pics have inspired me .... I have to try just a little harder!!! Look out Toto!!!!! |
Those pictures of Carter are great! Heck, all of your pictures are great, you sure are talented! We live near DC, so we're Redskins fans. I found a doggy jersey online, so I'll be buying that soon, maybe next fall around football season. |
Wonderful pictures. Of course my favorite one is of Carter.... :) |
Is he a show dog? Wow, nice shots. How do you get him to stand like that? |

He was looking at my daughter to my left getting ready to attack because she had his toy. The hardest part about taking digital pictures of furbabies is consumer digitals have a shutter lag. You press the shutter and it takes a second for the picture to actually take. The camera I use in the studio and for sports as well as all my personal images is a Digital SLR - just like a 35mm camera but digital. The shutter is very, very fast. I am a sports correspondent for the local paper here and in the next town (my hometown). They are sister papers and are a regional newsprint for the New York Times. I'd love to freelancing in New Orleans or Baton Rouge where there is a major print market but the hour drive to/from an event would eventually wear me out. I've been working with the Sports Information Department at our university for about 7 or 8 years now. I always did public relations work for them during basketball season (calling ESPN, Sportsticker, AP, local TV stations, etc), worked with the Public Address announcer during football (spotting plays for him to announce) and with general stats for media guides. Now that the SID has seen my work -- no more PR work for them . . . I'm strictly doing photography work for their publications, web, and media guides. I'm the envy of several photogs in the area that would love to have field access to our small town university sidelines. I'm building my portfolio in hopes of getting some freelance jobs in the future for bowl events in the New Orleans areas. Oh -- and Lucynfred -- I graduated from a high school who's mascot is a tiger. I've been really tempted to get some tigers for the house. Maybe I'll have to get one to send to you and just go ahead and purchase the yorkie ones for my house! hehe! Thanks everyone for being so supportive of what I love doing best!!! Lisa |
