Cute! i wish I could get my boys to sit pretty like that! I had a german short haired pointer growing up and we taught him to sit pretty by putting his legs on our arm while saying sit pretty and then we got rid of our arm from in front of him and said sit pretty and he did, so then we didnt have to say anything, just lift our arm bent at the elbow and he would sit pretty! such a smart pup! :)

That's what we did to teach him, wonder if he remembers that? I'll have to try and see. He knows most of his commands by sign, hmm.

Sometimes it's hard to just give him one. When we practice, sometimes he will go thru all of his tricks before he does the one that I am asking for. It is so funny.

This is how I did it...
have him sit for a treat and say sit pretty while you hold your bent arm in front of him. He will probably put his paw on your arm anyway, if he puts just one take hold of his other paw and put it on your arm. Or he will probably put both. Once he does this, say Sit Pretty. It will take a few times with you putting your arm out. Oh and when you give the treat, hold it right in front of his eyes and bring it up just slightly so he has to stretch to get it but not enough to where he stands on his hinds. If he does, just back down a little. Of course, then he gets treat and say sit pretty again. Good luck. I want to try and just use a hand signal like celstu1 said her dog followed.:)
