Introducing "Greysee" Greysee lives in The Woodlands, TX. She is a little over nine months old, and we obtained her from a breeder about an hour south of Houston. She isn't quite housebroken yet, as she can't resist peeing on the carpet in our bedroom. So we keep her restricted to the general living areas, which are all hardwood, and easier to clean. Typically, she gives a little "ARF" to let me know she needs to go out, but if she happens to get into our bedroom, she likes to lie under the bed, and then will sneak out to do her business on the nice, soft, warm carpet. She is very loving and likes to be held by her "Daddy"(me). I purchased her to help my wife recover from an illness, but my wife hasn't fully recovered, and Greysee and I have become best pals, as her "Mommy" is still pretty much bedridden. I'd like to hear from other Yorkie owners in The Woodlands or Spring, TX area.:wavey: |
I'm not from TX but just wanted to say Hi and Welcome to YT. We'd love to pictures of your little Greysee! Hope your wife recovers soon and will be able to enjoy your little furball. |
Welcome to YT! Your little Greysee sounds like a typical little Yorkie girl! :) We trained our Toto to the wee wee pad because she is very small and we had to be careful because of her size. This has worked beautifully for us because our work takes us to different areas of the country. We have been in Colorado for several years and quite frankly, I don't like going out in the snow either. As she got older, she also learned that it's OK to potty outside ... I suppose you could call it "cross training"! It's really nice that she goes potty both places. If Greysee always pottys in the same spot, you might try putting a pad there and she may be easily trained to go to it. I hope your wife does well with her recovery and will soon be able to enjoy little Greysee with you! Just remember, Dad, you have to share! ;) |
