In one night Rudy pull all these toys out. It was like an obstacle course in my den :p Me not him :p picked up all the toys. Rudy then stood there and didn't want Maddie or Lucky any were around his toys. Rudy is my funny little one, Maddie just goes with the flow.................Cindy

Hi, mitzy is just the same, she cant play with just one toy :D she has to get all of them out, then i have to pick them up as well as my sons, so you can imagine the mess here. One good thing though, is mitzy has never gone for my son's toys, maybe its cos i have bought so many for her, but if she finds a sock or piece of clothing, now thats a different story :D she is the runaway thief :D

You all pick up their toys? Shoot, we just walk over them here at home. LOL :p The faster we put them back in the basket they have dragged them back out. So, we gave up, ha ha

Im with you Schatzie. We don't pick up the toys either cause as soon I pick them up she taken back out. LOL :D

I quit buying Cecilia toys. She just plays with my socks and underwear and hairbrushes and hangers and ignores the toys. So my house is cluttered with all of my crap that she has pulled out.

That is so funny. Amber has a dog bed with a cushion in it. She puts all her toys under her cushion to hide them from my daughter (Hailey). Of course it did not take Hailey to long to find them. They play and fight over the same toys all the time.

Hi everyone. First time on yorkietalk! I named myself YorkieX3 because since late September, I've acquired 3 Yorkies, having never owned one before! They're magical little beings, aren't they! I just had to weigh in with my toy story. The cleaning folks come to our house about once every 2 weeks, and they methodically gather up all the dog toys and put them in a certain space in our bedroom. That night, my precious ones will go and get them all out, one by one, fight over that toy for about a minute, then go get another. In less than an hour's time, they've redistributed all the toys all over the house again! With 3 dogs and lots of friends who gave them toys for Christmas, we have a LOT of toys, so you can imagine that they're under foot all the time. But that's how the doggies like it, so it must be! They've completely taken over our house! :)

YorkieX3: Wow, can't imagine my house with 3, we have one, and his toys are ALLLLLLLLL over already! But it's a small price to pay to have such lovable creatures in our lives, at least that's how I justify the mess at times.

Maddie-Rudy-Mom Rudy's toys are bigger than him, how cute!!! He is gorgeous.. and I love his long hair. How long did you wait for his hair being full grown?

Fasteddie, I could have sworn that you had like 4 or so Yorkies? Huh, I really messed up on that thought?? I remember vaguely (sp) even seeing a picture of them all taking over your bed. Hmmm, must of been some other member but I could have sworn it was you, LOL. ;)

Rudy's hair grew fast. He had a full coat at about 10 months I try to have it trimmed every 6-8 weeks. He has the cotton type hair and needs alot more grooming than Maddie she has silky hair. Rudy is 14 months old now and he is getting better with the brushing. I just can't make myself cut it short, but the summer I might have to, Rudy loves to go outside and he get into everything :p .............Cindy

Heheh, nope schatzie, we've just got one spoiled rotten Yorkie. I think that was mmyorkies with the large brood. :)

Though there's at least a handful of people with 4+ around here, I believe.

Or was it jer lin with Yorkies all over his bed? Have you noticed ... even though we ["only child" yorkie owners] only have one ... our houses look like we have 4-5??? :) I can't imagine trying to "maintain" more than one ... Toto takes most of my time 24/7!! ;)

Bettyeanne, you are so correct by saying that Toto takes 24/7 of your time, so does Schatzie, LOL. It's funny though how Id want to subject myself with another even knowing the time, costs, etc involved. I know I wont however now but those heart strings pull quite often. :p

Yep! But ... we really did our homework when considering buying Toto ... we truly made a "committment" to her! For a couple of days after we brought her home, every time I looked at her I imagined there was something wrong! She was just sooo tiny [1 1/2 lbs. @ almost 16 weeks!] I was absolutely tied up in knots ... we would just sit and stare at her! Made 3 trips to the vet that week ... I also still had "sticker shock"!! :) We had her for a couple of weeks and were down near Destin, FL with our little Casita RV ... I had given Toto a bath and had her on the picnic table combing her ... got distracted ... plop, she fell off and I just went into screaming, crying hysterics!! I just knew something had broken! She was fine of course but I just kept blaming myself. Later, I realized that the "big bucks" didn't even cross my mind ... Patrick and I were talking about it later and when I mentioned that for the first time I didn't think of the $$$ ... he said "I haven't thought about that since 5 minutes after we held her!!" ;) We have pretty much decided to move our retirement out a few years so I can stay home with her. I have worked my entire life so we'll have to see how this goes .... so far, Toto and I are really enjoying "time off"!! :cool: Of course, family and friends think we have taken leave of our senses but anyone who has never had one of these little ones just can't understand!! ;) Patrick just keeps saying ... it's the smartest thing we ever did!!!
