LOL...My hubby has ALWAYS been a big dog kind of guy. We have been married for over 15 years and he has always said no to any little dogs. Well I decided to take it up myself to go ahead and defy him, like usual....LOL..and get a Yorkie because that is what I wanted! I knew he would be upset at first but then he gets over it cuz he ALWAYS does. Anyhows I can't tell you how much he loves these little dogs. After the first one he had no problem getting the second and they follow him all over the house.....go figure. I got them for me to spoil cuz I am the only female in this house, hubby and 3 teenage boys and these dogs prefer him...hmmmm! It's all good.

Here's one of my hubbie with Brooke on her 1st Birthday, last year.

lol! I'd have to look and see if I have any of him holding them but it's funny how he did not want "ankle biters" , yet everyone at his work knows all about them.

My husband was very upset when I got Nolee. He was working away and said the dog better be gone before he gets home!! I was sooo upset! I cried and told him there was no way I could get rid of him. After coming home he agreed to keep him, but still wasn't very happy. Well that was a year and 1/2 ago and now he loves this lil dog as much as me. He says he is a really cool dog and soo cute!!! I have yet to get a photo of them, but will certainly try!!:cool:

Rob wasn't too thrilled at the prospect of getting a Yorkie. His aunt had them when he was growing up and he always said "ANY dog but a yorkie" but I had always wanted a yorkie since I was a kid. Well, I pulled out the old guilt trip of "You're never home because you're always at school (he's a phd student) and I'm all alone. She would just keep me company." Plus, Sam our parrot had totally bonded to my husband and I had no creature that loved me! So, he finally relented- and I do mean relented. Today, he will admit "Ok, she's pretty cute" and I think he enjoys her more now she's potty trained.

The second pic is not particularly flattering of Rob, but is too cute mid-lick. She's three months there.
I'll have to take one of him and her for a more recent shot!

It took me 10 years to convince my husband to let me have a Yorkie. We got Winston first then he wanted his own little girl..... hence Maggie. He is a total goner. When he lets the kids out in the morning, if it rains, Maggie just looks at him and he carries her down the wet stairs and then he wipes the deck stairs dry because his little princess doesn't like to get her paws wet. He goes home everyday at lunch and gets on all 4 to play with the 3 kids. When he comes home, guess who get the last kiss... me.

Here is a photo of my macho man (hubby Dale) and our little Gidget (in the pak-a-pal). Both have passed away, but I still love looking at the photos and remembering how much they adored each other.

Ok, I think it's official... Maggie has SOMEONE wrapped around her little *DRY* paw. :rolleyes::p Love it!

Yes, you should see them carrying on with kissing-fests. :p She is a major manipulator too.... she follows him around the house. Yeap, Maggie gets what Maggie wants from Daddy.

My husband is SF in the Army and yesterday we went out on the boat and I thought my girlfriend would pee herself laughing at how my husband coddled Mascot, we even got a picture of him wrapping mascot in a towel as the sun was setting becasue he didn't want him to get too cold! She couldn't believe how soft he was around Mascot. I can't wait for her to send the wrapped in a towel photo so I can post it!;)

I think my husband loves Kingston and Lily more than me LOL :rolleyes:

Yeah I love this thread!! I have only one picture of the DH with Kaba and he's covering his face. Its like pulling teeth to get him to take pictures with me or Kaba or anyone.

But he loves Kaba. Its the same ol' story about fighting to get a Yorkie. He wants bigger dogs but I finally convinced him.

I make him do all the not-so-fun work with Kaba (getting ticks, expressing her butt, bath time) and he willingly does it all. He's the sweetest ever!!! But gets upset because the animals spend all day with me and follow me around and not him...maybe I should be doing some of the dirty work..:)

Ok, haha, I finally plugged my USB flash drive in and I have quite a few pictures of Lilly when she was a baby with her daddy :D Sorry for the one where he has no shirt on, it's the best picture ever though lmao, they're both GONE into a DEEP sleep.

Very cute thread (found it totally by accident)! Anyway, my boyfriend really wasn't behind the whole "getting a dog" thing. I let him choose the breed, either a Yorkie or a Poodle (I grew up with poodles but love yorkies) and he chose for us to get a Yorkie because he thought they were less "prissy". (He grew up with Dobbies so this whole small dog thing was new to him.)

Anyway, he's totally and completely in love with our little Zoë, it's not even funny. He says he's tired of her all the time but it's such a bad lie. Even when he's working I'll bring her in to his office and he just melts when she comes to him and he totally loves her visiting.

Last night I put a dress on her, hoping that the 1/4 of a pound she's gained would make it fit (yeah right :laugh: close but no cigar). He helped me put it on her and even said "Look at my pretty girl, in her cute dress." I just about died when he turned to me and said "I'm glad you got her this dress, it's really cute." :eek: Well, good thing her cuteness wins even when he gets made at me spending to make her look cuter. :D

Anyway, here are a few cute pictures of Zoë and her Daddy. We didn't think she'd fit in his sweater pocket, but she did! :laugh: The middle was the first day we got her, taking a rest stop at his family's house. Any just an FYI, I had to include this one shirtless picture as they both were passed out. :D

:goodpost: This is a cute thread. Love seeing all the macho men with their little "babies". Here's my hubby with Elvis two months ago, which makes Elvis around 6 months old.

My DH wasn't too sure about a Yorkie either but he just loves him! Here they are when we first brought Chewy home and then this past week when we went to Old Man's Cave.

What a lovely thread!! I don't have any pictures of my husband and our Humphrey BUT he wasn't very happy about the idea of getting a puppy. However, once he discovered the wonders of taking such a cute creature out for walks - all girls stop to pet Humphrey- he is kind of loving the pup.

Lol, it seems like so many of the pictures with daddy are in the laying down position. Here's one of Joey and daddy watching the Red Wings play.
