My Biewer Boy 2 Attachment(s) Hi, just wanted to post a couple of pictures of Axel. took these this morning, before our vet appointment for puppy shots. He has gone from 2.7 lbs to 3.4 lbs., in the couple of weeks I have had him. He is 11 weeks old as of yesterday, the 18th. Vet says he is doing great. He is the first Biewer he has seen, so I took him a picture this morning of an adult. We were discussing microchipping him this morning. His charge is $50.00. Is that a reasonable price? Anyway enjoy the pictures. linda |
Axel is a cutie. My Vet Charges $45.oo to chip. |
OMG he is so so so cute!!!!!!! I think $50 is a "ok" price, I believe I paid $30 |
Aww... he is ADORABLE!!! And I'll have a biewer too... one day:rolleyes::D |
Find out what type of chip too, I think AVID now charges a yearly fee on top of the initial fee. The breeder that I bought my last lab puppy from gave me a list of a couple that don't charge a yearly fee now, I just need to find it and I can post what companies they were. From what I understand, those who have had AVID previously are grandfathered and won't be charged the fee yearly, this is all hear say though so if anyone knows anything different please say so |
Oh BTW, he is gorgeous :) |
What an adorable Biewer! I didn't know so many microchipped their furbabies. |
My Bella came MC from the breeder, so I cant help you there BUT!! I just had to add my 2cents. That Axel is such a cutie! |
He is such a doll. congratulations. |
Awwww, what a cutie he is! I think $50 is reasonable. I paid $250 for spay, microchip and removal of baby teeth. |
I paid $35 in Arizona....Axel is so cute...I want one someday too...!:animal-pa |
So cute! |
Axel is so cute he looks like a stuffed toy for sure. Microchip runs from $25 -$50 depends where you get it done. |
Axel is absolutely adorable. Congradulations. I microchip before I place my biewers, so I don't know what an appropiate price is; I believe in better safe than sorry when it comes to microchipping. |
He is SO cute :D |
thanks for the replies First thanks for the replies, I really had no idea of a reasonable price range for the microchipping. The vet uses Home Again. He says the local animal services carry a scanner on every truck. If Axel were to be found somewhere, he would immediately be scanned and returned to my house and not even go to the shelter. Any idea if the fee is yearly or one time? Axel has been bebopping around the house this morning, terrorizing anyone and anything that he can find. Now he is under computer desk taking a nap. I will have to post some pics of all my furbabies, 4 dogs, 2 cats. linda :) |
Axel is adorable! :):) |
Welcome to the Biewer family I have two along with my Yorkies. I have all mine Micro chipped. Home again is the one used most by AKC and they work closely with home recovery. It's the only one that AKC will register with their registry. Avid is also very good one but the best is called Resque by Bayer. the advantage people also aspirin people. It does not have a yearly fee and the best part of this one is it can be scanned by both national and international scanners. The other two can't. Check around. Bayer offered a special deal to the vets and they got them a greatly reduced price than the other two companies. We've been using them in our clinic for about a year now with no problems and even have recovered a few dogs with them. Good Luck. Sandi |
Awwww...Axel is quite cute! Just an fyi ~ Avid charges a one time fee of 18 for a single animal and I believe it's 36 for multiple. |
